Welcome,

Dear one.

This is your time to slow down,

To loosen the day from your mind and body.

And it's your time to prepare to drift into the deep nourishing rest you deserve.

You don't have to do anything perfectly.

There's no right way to relax.

Just let yourself be held by your breath,

By the quiet,

Held by the moment.

Find a position that feels soft and comfortable,

Let your pillow cradle your head,

Feel the gentle weight and comfort of your blankets.

Now close your eyes and begin to follow your breath.

No effort,

No forcing,

Just breath moving in and breath moving out.

As you exhale,

Imagine releasing the noise of the day.

As you inhale,

Imagine inviting in calm.

Now gently bring your awareness to your toes and allow them to soften,

Let your feet grow heavy and warm.

Feel that subtle relaxation move into your ankles,

Your calves softening as it travels upward.

Upward through your knees,

Your thighs just letting go,

Your hips sinking deeper into the bed,

Your lower back releasing,

Your middle back melting,

Your shoulders sliding away from your ears.

Feel that softness spill down your arms into your hands as you open your palms all the way to your fingertips.

Finally,

Let your neck loosen,

Your jaw unclench and your forehead smooth.

Your whole body is safe,

Supported,

Letting go.

Now imagine you're standing at the edge of a calm lake at night.

The air is cool,

Gentle,

Quiet.

The stars are reflected perfectly in the gently rippling water.

This is the still point.

It is the place inside you that exists beneath all the noise,

A place that is untouched by the rush of the day.

Imagine stepping into this stillness.

Feel it wrap around you like a warm blanket.

Here,

Nothing is urgent,

Nothing is heavy,

And nothing is required of you.

It's just you and the quiet and the soft,

Steady rhythm of your breath.

With each breath,

You're drifting deeper into this stillness.

If thoughts try to tug you away,

Just let them float across the lake like fallen leaves and return your attention to the calm.

You are safe here.

You are held here.

You are allowed to rest here.

You don't need to listen to the end.

You can let go into sleep whenever it comes.

Your body knows how,

Your mind knows how,

And the still point will remain,

Holding you through the night.

Sweet dreams,

Dear one.

Rest well.
