Welcome to this Mercury in Retrograde guided meditation with me,
Tasha the Moon Child.
As this meditation is designed to relax both your body and your mind,
Please do not listen to this meditation whilst driving,
Operating any kind of machinery or in any situation where you need to be both awake and alert.
It's time to get yourself comfortable,
So whether you're sitting on your favourite chair,
Sat on the floor,
Lying down in your bed or you're out in nature,
Take a second to get yourself comfortable to make sure that your body is being perfectly supported by the surface that you're sitting or lying on.
When you're ready,
Take a deep breath in through your nose,
Hold at the top and slowly exhale through your mouth.
And again,
Inhaling through your nose,
Holding at the top and slowly exhaling through your mouth.
We're going to do one more together now.
Inhale through your nose,
Hold at the top and slowly exhale through your mouth.
I encourage you now to continue this deep breathing in through your nose and out through your mouth,
However feels comfortable for you.
Mercury moves slower around the Sun than the Earth does at various points in the year.
As it does,
It gives the illusion that it's actually moving backwards.
These periods of time tend to get a bad reputation because Mercury is said to rule communication.
So when it's moving backwards,
It can cause miscommunications,
Misunderstandings,
Stress and anxiety.
Now is not the time to panic,
Make big or important changes or have difficult conversations.
It is the time to slow down,
Reflect and meditate.
If your eyes aren't closed already,
It's time to gently close them now.
Breathing in through your nose,
Holding at the top and slowly exhaling through your mouth.
Taking a second to focus on how calm and relaxed your body and your mind now feel.
Continuing your breathing now as I encourage you to imagine a serene space.
Somewhere that you feel calm,
Relaxed and at peace.
Every serene space looks different.
So take a minute now taking in the surroundings of your special serene space.
Now that you have your serene space in front of you,
I want you to imagine that it's being surrounded by a beautiful indigo light.
This is the light of Mercury and it's here to help guide you through this retrograde period.
You feel safe,
At peace,
Calm and relaxed,
Surrounded by this indigo light as it encourages you to bring to the surface any mental clutter or communication struggles that have been weighing you down.
And as you breathe in,
That mental clutter and those communication struggles are brought to the surface.
And as you exhale,
They gently lift away from your mind,
From your shoulders,
From your body and disappear.
Taking with it the anxiety and the stress that those things have been causing you.
Taking a second now just to bask in how much more calm and relaxed you feel.
Breathing in through your nose,
Holding at the top and slowly exhaling through your mouth.
Just as Mercury appears to be moving backwards,
The indigo light that surrounds your serene space also begins to move backwards as it comes closer and closer towards you.
The indigo light gives as well as taking away and as it surrounds you,
You are filled with Mercury's energy.
This energy gives you clarity on all aspects of your life which will enable you to embrace opportunities for both self-reflection and growth.
Taking a second now to breathe in all of that beautiful indigo energy directly from Mercury.
Breathing in through your nose,
Holding at the top and slowly exhaling through your mouth.
Breathing in all of that beautiful indigo light as it fills your body and slowly exhaling through your mouth.
One last time,
Breathing in that beautiful indigo energy and slowly exhaling through your mouth.
The indigo energy and the indigo light now begins to move back away from you and back into your serene space.
When Mercury is in retrograde,
Communication can feel more challenging so it's important to be gentle with both yourself and with others and to take time to just be.
When things feel hard,
Remember this indigo energy and the peace and the calm that it brings.
Come back to your serene space whenever you need it and picture that beautiful indigo light enveloping you once more.
We're going to take a few more deep breaths together.
Breathing in through your nose,
Holding at the top and slowly breathing out through your mouth.
Breathing in through your nose,
Holding at the top and slowly exhaling through your mouth.
We're going to leave your serene space now as you gently begin bringing sensation back to your body however feels right for you,
Whether that's a stretch,
Whether it's a roll.
Take your time to bring yourself back into your body.
Remember that however hard this period may feel for you,
Just as Mercury will begin to move forwards again,
So too will you.
