This is a simple and sweet meditation to nourish your kidneys.
You can do this meditation sitting up,
Lying down,
Or even moving.
So it's completely up to you and your mood today.
In this meditation we will be focusing on the in-breath through the nose,
Visualizing the breath as vibrant blue light.
So each time you inhale through the nose,
Feel the breath as it moves into the back of the sinuses,
Center of your brain,
All the way down into the bottom most part of your lungs,
And see that breath as blue light.
Vibrant blue light.
And allow that light to collect and pool around your kidneys,
Your lower back.
So as you exhale,
Draw the navel into the spine,
And squeeze the air from the lungs.
And as you inhale,
Big,
Big breath,
Long,
Slow breath,
Blue light into the lower back,
The kidneys.
And each breath,
That blue light is like a vibrant puddle of blue light around the kidneys.
It's fluid and it's swirling.
Find a rhythm of your breath,
Maybe inhaling for 4 or 5,
Maybe 10 seconds,
And exhaling the same for 5 or 10 seconds.
And each breath,
Fill the body with that vibrant,
Blue,
Healing light.
It's helpful to look up to the sky.
Think of the most vivid blue you've ever seen in the sky.
And bring that light in through the nose,
All the way down the spine,
Pooling at the kidneys,
Creating an orb of vibrant blue light all around your physical body.
As you exhale,
Begin to exhale that same blue,
That same blue light,
Visualizing the breath as energy,
As healing light.
Feel and hear the breath in the back of your nasal passages.
Feel the breath in the throat,
The chest,
And all the way down into the lowest part of your lungs,
So that the belly expands on the in-breath with blue light.
And as you exhale,
The belly,
The navel,
Your belly button,
Gently moves in toward your spine,
Nice and gentle,
Inhaling blue light,
Exhaling blue light.
If you'd like to add movement to the practice,
As you inhale,
Sweep the arms behind,
Place your hands on the kidneys,
And as you exhale,
Release the arms up and overhead.
As you inhale,
Drawing in that vibrant blue light to the kidneys,
Lower belly expands.
Gently rest the palms of the hands on the kidneys on your low back.
Keep them here,
If you'd like,
Or move with your breath,
Reaching the arms up.
And as you inhale,
Bringing that blue light,
That vibrant,
Soulful,
Healing energy to your lower back,
To the kidneys,
And feel the body rest and relax.
To close the meditation,
Bring the palms together,
Rubbing them,
Creating some heat.
Rub them thoroughly,
So you really get some heat.
Rub the opposite finger into one another.
And when you have some heat built up,
Bring those hands right back to your kidneys.
And let's take three deep breaths together.
Bring all of your awareness into your body.
You're taking the palms of your hands and tapping the legs and the outside of the body,
Tapping the left arm with the right hand from the shoulder down to the fingertips,
And then the left,
Tapping,
Just waking up the body as you move into the rest of your day.
