Welcome to this soothing meditation.
Set against the backdrop of gentle rain.
Rain has a way of washing away stress and grounding us in the present moment.
As you listen,
Allow the sound to guide you into a deep relaxation,
Releasing tension and calming your mind.
Find a comfortable position,
Whether sitting or lying down,
And let's begin.
Close your eyes and take a deep breath in through your nose.
Hold it for a moment and exhale slowly through your mouth.
As the rain falls around you,
Imagine each drop washing away stress and tension.
Feel your breath sinking with the rhythm of the rain.
Inhale peace,
Exhale worry.
With every breath,
Let the sound of the rain pull you deeper into calm.
Bring your attention to your body.
Start at the top of your head and slowly scan downward,
Noticing any areas of tightness or discomfort.
Soften your forehead.
Relax your jaw.
Let your shoulders drop.
Allow your stomach to loosen.
With each exhale,
Imagine the rain gently washing away any tension.
Visualise it carrying away your stress,
Leaving you lighter and more at ease.
Picture yourself standing in a safe,
Serene space outdoors.
A garden,
A forest,
Or a quiet meadow.
Gentle rain falls around you,
Cool and refreshing.
Each drop that touches your skin cleanses you,
Not just physically,
But emotionally.
It washes away frustration,
Self-doubt and overwhelm,
Leaving behind clarity and peace.
Feel the earth beneath your feet,
Solid and grounding.
The rain connects you to nature,
Reminding you of the simple beauty in letting go.
Silently or aloud,
Repeat these affirmations.
I am safe and supported.
I release everything that no longer serves me.
I welcome calm and peace into my life.
Allow the rain to carry these affirmations into every corner of your being,
Infusing you with tranquillity.
For the remainder of this meditation,
Simply be here with the rain.
No need to do anything,
Fix anything,
Or worry about what comes next.
Just be.
When you're ready,
Gently bring your awareness back to your body.
Wiggle your fingers and toes.
Take one final deep breath in,
And as you exhale,
Open your eyes.
Carry the calm of this moment with you into the rest of your day.
The rain may fade,
But its peace will stay with you.
