Welcome to Pure Life Therapy and this guided mindfulness meditation to increase your self-love,
Self-compassion,
And self-care.
Throughout the meditation,
You are invited to close your eyes or have a soft gaze forward,
Whatever it is that is comfortable for you.
Meditations can be done sitting,
Lying down,
Or even standing,
Again,
Whatever it is that feels right for you.
If at any time you find the mind is wandering,
Gently smile at yourself and simply return the focus to the breath or to the guidance.
Now let's begin by making sure you are comfortable,
Shifting the body in any way needed,
And when you are ready,
Gently closing the eyes or gazing at an object in front of you.
Taking three deeper than normal breaths,
Inhale,
And on the exhale,
Letting go of any thoughts or worries.
Inhale,
Exhale,
Shifting the body in any way needed.
Inhale,
Exhale,
Knowing you are exactly where you need to be in this moment.
Returning the breath to a natural rhythm and allowing the body to sink,
Relax,
To be fully supported by the surface you are on,
Allowing yourself to relax completely on each exhale.
As you are breathing,
Noticing any areas of tension or discomfort,
Inhale relaxation,
Exhale tension,
Inhale relax,
Exhale release,
Inhale relax,
Exhale release,
Inhale relax,
Exhale release,
Allowing the body to relax and settle into a state of comfort.
When you are ready,
With the breath,
Turning the awareness inward and visualizing a connection with your heart center.
Imagine a warm,
Radiant light at the center of your chest.
This light represents the essence of self-care,
Self-love,
Self-compassion.
If it feels right for you,
Giving this light a color,
Whatever color it is that feels like love,
Care,
And compassion.
With each breath,
Allowing this light to expand,
Filling the entire body with a sense of warmth and kindness.
Feeling the gentle energy of self-love embracing you from within.
Inhale healing light,
Exhale relax,
Inhale radiant energy,
Exhale relax,
Inhale warmth and kindness,
Exhale relax.
As you bask in this self-loving light,
Think of a phrase or affirmation that resonates with you.
It could be something like,
I am worthy of love and care,
Or I deserve kindness and compassion.
I am taking such good care of myself.
Repeat this affirmation silently to yourself,
Allowing the words to sink in deeper and deeper with each breath.
Bringing the attention back to the warm,
Radiant light that is at the center of your chest.
Allowing this bubble of loving-kindness to surround you.
This bubble is a protective space filled with unconditional love and compassion.
With each breath,
Expand this bubble to encompass your entire being,
Creating a sanctuary of self-love,
Self-care,
Self-compassion.
Visualizing that within this bubble is a sanctuary,
A garden of self-love.
In this garden,
Imagine planting seeds of self-compassion,
Nurturing them with care and attention.
Watch as these seeds grow into vibrant flowers,
Symbolizing the blossoming of love,
Kindness and compassion within you.
If any self-critical thoughts arise,
Acknowledge them with gentleness and let them pass like clouds in the sky.
You are deserving of love and understanding.
You are kind and compassionate towards yourself.
Basking in this bubble of healing light amongst the flowers of love,
Kindness and compassion.
Your self-cultivated love and kindness.
Breathing and basking in this energy.
Bringing the awareness back to the breath.
Inhaling deeply,
Breathing in love and care that you have cultivated within.
Exhale,
Releasing any remaining tension or self-doubt.
Taking a few more breaths,
Appreciating the warmth of self-love and compassion that surrounds you within your golden,
Radiant bubble.
Knowing that you have the power and the skills to nurture and care for yourself at every moment in life.
When you're ready,
When it feels right for you,
Releasing the image of the warm,
Radiant bubble filled with flowers and bringing the awareness back to the breath.
Inhale,
Relax.
Exhale,
Release.
Inhale,
Relax.
Exhale,
Release.
Feeling the breath flow in and out of the body.
Bringing the attention to the body being supported by the surface it is on.
Shifting the body in any way needed.
Starting to wiggle the fingers and toes.
And when you're ready,
With the breath,
Gently opening the eyes.
