Setting the intention for deep rest,
Connect with three breaths,
Slightly elongating your inhale,
Your exhale fall out of you.
Just watching for the moment of stillness that exists there.
Simply watching,
One breath at a time.
The birth of an inhale and the supreme stillness at the end of your exhale.
There is a doorway to a place of deep rest.
Before you can enter this doorway it's asked that you place your cares,
Your worries,
Your likes and dislikes in a box.
You set this box down for the night,
Knowing it's retrievable at any moment,
But making the choice to not carry it's weight.
You take one step towards the doorway and passing its threshold you are given insight into your energy body.
Suddenly you see the mechanism to turn on gratitude,
The switch to harness its energy.
You turn it on,
Letting it fill you and noticing how that feels in the body.
Exude this gratitude without attaching it to anyone or anything.
Simply be grateful.
Beginning to notice how light your body feels without the weight of obligation.
You've been walking for so long,
Simply wanting to rest and you're finally here,
Embracing sleep like a long lost friend.
