Freedom within.
Today I'll take you through a deep guided meditation for self-inquiry,
Awareness and inner freedom.
Take a comfortable position.
Allow your body to settle.
And when you are ready.
.
.
Gently close your eyes.
Take a slow breath in.
And slowly breathe out again.
Reading and freedom.
For the next few moments.
You don't have to become anything.
You don't have to prove yourself.
You don't have to heal anything.
And you don't have to find an answer.
Just notice.
Just be present.
Because sometimes.
The deepest freedom doesn't come from finding something near.
It comes from seeing clearly.
What has been holding us?
Bring your attention to your breath.
Don't change it.
Simply notice.
Keep the breathing.
Notice the body.
The sensations.
The movement.
The sounds around you.
The thoughts passing through your mind.
And.
.
.
Notice something very subtle.
You can.
Observe all these things.
You can observe your body.
You can observe your thoughts You can observe your emotions or you can observe your memory too.
So gently ask yourself Who is the one observing?
Don't try to answer intellectually.
Just sit with the question.
Who is aware.
Perhaps,
There is no immediate answer.
And that's okay for now.
Simply rest as the awareness that is noticing.
Now bring the word freedom in your awareness.
Freedom.
What does freedom actually mean to you?
You know what society says?
Not what you have been taught.
Of what freedom is supposed to mean.
But what does it mean for you?
Yeah.
Nobody expected anything from you.
If nobody was watching.
If nobody was judging.
How would you live?
What would you choose?
What would you stop doing?
And what would you finally allow yourself to do?
And perhaps.
.
.
And even deeper question.
Are you actually living the life you want to live?
Or are you living the life you have learned to believe you should live?
Don't judge the answer.
Just notice.
Now bring your attention to the person you believe yourself to be.
Your name.
Your profession.
Your relationship.
Your successes.
Your failure.
Your personality.
Your history your beliefs.
Your roles.
You may think.
I am a parent.
I am a partner.
I am a professional.
I am successful or I am not successful.
I am confident.
Or I am insecure I am spiritual I am anxious I am strong or I am broken Now,
Gently ask yourself,
Who am I without these labels?
If you remove your profession Who are you?
If you remove your relationships,
Who are you?
If you remove your achievements Who are you?
If you remove your failures,
Who are you?
And if you remove the stories you have been telling yourself about who you are what he means.
Don't search for an answer.
Let the question open a space inside you.
Now bring awareness to one story you repeatedly tell yourself.
Perhaps,
I'm not good enough.
I always mess things up.
People believe me.
I have to be strong.
I must make everyone happy.
I need to prove myself.
I cannot change.
I am too late.
Or I am not worthy.
Whatever your story is,
Look at it gently.
And us.
Is it absolutely true?
Not do I believe it.
But is it absolutely true?
Thanks for watching!
Then ask.
When did I first learn to believe this?
And who would I be without this belief?
Stay with that question.
Who would you be?
If this belief were no longer running in your life.
Perhaps you would breathe differently.
Perhaps you would make different choices.
Perhaps you would stop asking for permission.
Perhaps you would stop proving your worth.
And perhaps you would simply be.
Now explore something even deeper.
Notice how much a life may be influenced by the desire to be seen in a certain way.
To be respected.
To be loved,
To be successful.
To be needed.
To be right.
To be admired,
To be accepted.
And ask yourself honestly.
How much of my life is shaped by what I want and how much by how I want to be perceived.
Don't judge yourself.
Just become aware.
What if.
.
.
For just a few moments.
You didn't need anyone's approval.
What if you didn't need anyone to understand you?
What if you didn't need to prove that you are enough?
Feel into that possibility.
What remains when you stop performing.
Now bring awareness to something you are afraid of.
Not necessarily your biggest fear.
Just something that currently holds you back.
Notice how the fear feels in your body.
Where does it live?
In the chest.
And the stomach.
The truth.
The fees.
Don't push it away.
Don't try to overcome it.
Simply be with it.
And does.
What are you trying to protect me from?
Listen.
Perhaps fear has been trying to protect you for a very long time.
And perhaps you can thank it.
Not because you want it to control you.
But because you recognize its intention.
Then gently ask,
What would I do if fear did not make my decisions from me?
What would I do if fear did not make my decisions for me?
Don't answer with the mind.
Let your deeper awareness respond.
Now,
Consider what you are holding on to.
A person.
A memory.
Our relationship.
And identity.
And expectation.
A particular outcome.
The way you think life should be.
Ask yourself.
What am I afraid will happen if I let this go?
And then.
.
.
What is this attachment giving me?
Maybe security.
Maybe familiarity.
May be identity.
Maybe control.
May be a sense of belonging.
And now us.
What is it costing me?
Simply observe.
Sometimes.
We remain attached.
Not because something is good for us.
But because it is familiar.
And perhaps,
Freedom begins.
When we become willing to see that clearly.
Bring your awareness to the desire to control life.
The need to know what will happen.
The need to control other people's choices.
The need to make everything go according to plan.
Ask yourself What am I trying so hard to control?
And then.
.
.
What would happen if I allow life to be uncertain?
You don't need to be.
Become passive.
You don't need to stop caring.
Simply notice.
The difference between responsibility and control.
You can make choices.
You can take action.
You can care deeply.
And still it allow life to unfold.
Take a slow breath.
And silently say.
I can participate in life.
Without kneading.
To control all of it.
Now.
Let go of all the questions.
Let go of the need to understand.
You let go of the meditation itself.
Simply fit.
In awareness.
Thoughts may come.
Let them come.
Sounds may come.
Let them come.
Sensations may come.
Let them come.
Nothing needs to be pushed away.
Nothing needs to be held on to.
You for a few moments.
Simply notice.
That awareness is already here.
You before the thought.
There is awareness.
Before the emotion.
There is awareness.
Before the story about yourself There is awareness.
And perhaps this is one of the deepest forms of freedom.
Not becoming someone else.
But recognizing that you are more than the stories you have been carrying.
Before we close.
Place your hand gently over your heart.
Take a slow breath in.
And breathe out.
And ask yourself one final question.
If I truly knew.
That I was free within,
What would I stop carrying?
And then.
.
.
What would I start allowing?
You And finally,
What would I choose to live from now?
Don't look for a perfect answer.
Perhaps one word comes.
Perhaps an image.
Perhaps a feeling.
Or perhaps nothing at all.
Trust Whatever Arises.
Take a deeper breathe in.
And slowly breathe out.
Feel the body,
Feel the ground beneath you.
Notice the room around you.
And remember.
You you may not be able to control everything that happens in life.
You may not be able to change the past.
You may not be able to change how others see you.
But you can become aware of what you are carrying.
You can question the stories you have believed.
You can meet your fear.
You can loosen your attachment.
You can choose a game.
Okay.
And perhaps,
Freedom is not the absence of challenges.
The freedom is the space within you.
From which you meet those challenges.
Take a moment to remember your own inner independence.
The freedom to question the freedom to choose.
The freedom to let go.
The freedom to change.
The freedom to begin again.
And the deepest freedom of all,
The freedom to be fully present with who you are.
Take one final breath.
And when you are ready,
Slowly open your eyes.
