Welcome friends,
I'm Pete Doris and I will guide you into a journey that will hopefully assist you with some anxiety release and clearing of subconscious negativity blockages with the use of wise attention combined with calm and relaxation Time to gather up the senses in close proximity to the body.
I feel.
I just feel the room around me.
I feel the breath.
I feel the air on my skin.
The breath I just feel.
Whatever today has asked of me,
It's finished asking at least for these next few minutes.
This moment is enough.
I don't need to earn it.
Watching my breath finding its own rhythm.
On my notes.
Unmarked.
I release any pressure to be anywhere else than here.
Inside the body anxiety often lives.
Before the mind even notices it.
I look and I find it.
Maybe on the chest.
Or on the stomach.
Or in my throat.
I allow it to be met with kindness.
To be met without resistance.
I'm simply making room for it to soften,
Not trying to push it away.
Just putting it in my body can't be enough to loosen its grip.
I release what my body no longer needs to hold.
With every breath out.
I let go a little more.
My body knows how to heal.
I trust it.
I allow it.
Don't use effort.
I let it happen.
The feeling is not me.
Not mine,
Not myself.
Anxiety rises and falls.
An impulse.
A drop in time.
It's like clouds passing through open sky.
The sky is never harmed by the storm that moves across it,
No matter how long the storm lasts.
No matter how strong a storm feels,
While it's happening,
It always eventually clears.
This impulse is not me.
It is not mine to keep.
I am the calm open space in which feelings simply pass through.
I am larger than any single feeling I have.
What passes through me does not define me.
I watch this feeling with curiosity instead of fear.
Negativity often speaks in old,
Familiar voices.
A critical thought,
An old story about not being enough,
A memory of shame that keeps replaying.
These voices are learned.
They're not the truth of who I am.
I can notice them without believing the words they say.
I release the negative stories I have told myself.
I'm not defined by past mistakes or by old shame I have carried for too long.
I let go of self-criticism that no longer serves me.
I'm allowed to speak to myself with the same kindness I would offer anybody I deeply love.
I don't have to react when a difficult feeling arises.
There is a small space.
Between what I feel and what I do.
And in that space,
There is vast potential.
The more I practice pausing there,
The wider that space becomes.
I can feel discomfort,
Eventually without the pressure to fix it.
I'm steady even when things feel uncertain.
I don't react to every wave.
I let them pass.
Watching them with wise attention.
I respond with calm rather than react with fear.
This steadiness was always there for me to access.
Some things loosen up when I stop creeping tightly.
Letting go is not giving up.
Not everything needs to be solved by the intellect.
Some answers arrive only once I stop chasing them.
Overthinking is distraction.
Dressed up as medicine,
It never brings the peace it promises.
I release my need to control every outcome.
I trust the process of life,
Even the parts I don't understand.
I stop overthinking and simply be.
Clarity will come in its own time.
I abandon the illusion that control makes everything okay.
Beneath every anxious thought there is a quieter,
Clearer part of my mind.
One that isn't caught in worry.
I reach it anytime I choose.
I reach it now.
I rise above the clouds into open sky.
The view is so calm and so wide.
I enter in a calmer,
Wiser part of my mind.
Fear and worry do not have power here.
I returned clarity.
Each time I get here,
The path becomes clearer,
More distinct,
More accessible.
This higher mind is not far.
It only waits to be remembered.
Luminous is the true nature of the mind.
A natural clarity that is simply covered over by passing thoughts,
Old fears and old patterns.
The way clouds can drift across the sun without ever touching or changing it.
This clarity is not something I need to create.
Is uncovered,
It's time fear and negativity settle.
My mind's natural clarity is calm,
Clear and whole.
What I feel and fear are like clouds passing through.
They do not stay in the sky beneath them.
I can rest in this clarity even when it feels temporarily covered by noise.
I do not need to search far to find it.
It's simply what remains when the noise settles.
Life moves in cycles of cause and effect.
What I do,
Thing,
And carry shapes what comes next,
In small ways and large ones.
Understanding this is not about blame.
It's about meeting my life with balance instead of resistance.
This balance,
This equanimity.
A steadiness that does not depend on things going a certain way.
It is available in the good moments and the hard ones alike.
If I choose to meet them with an open mind.
I meet my life with steadiness,
Not judgment.
I do not need to label every moment as good or bad.
I can hold both ease and difficulty with the same open heart.
I choose balance over being pulled from side to side by every passing moment.
This steadiness does not mean I don't care.
It means I no longer need to be pushed and pulled by the waves.
I have carried myself through hard days before,
Even when I didn't feel strong enough.
Something in me already knows the way through,
Even now.
I try to be gentle with myself in this process.
Healing is rarely a straight line,
And that's alright.
I believe in my own strength.
I trust the process,
Even the parts I cannot yet see.
I am capable of far more steadiness than I sometimes give myself credit for.
I have survived every difficult day and that shows my strength.
Whatever comes next,
I will meet with courage.
As layers of fear and negativity begin to soften.
Something becomes clearer beneath them.
A quiet understanding that was there all along,
Simply covered over by worry and old habits of mind.
This process asks for patience.
Not perfection.
As I release what weighs on me,
My own wisdom rises.
I am not losing anything by letting go.
I'm uncovering what was already mine.
The more I release all negativity,
The more of what's inside I get to meet.
This wisdom was never far from me.
Was only waiting there beneath.
I don't have to earn kindness.
I can offer it to myself in abundance and let it extend outwards from there,
Touching everyone and everything it meets.
The same gentleness I offer a dear friend,
I offer to myself.
I offer myself kindness,
Especially in moments of struggle.
I extend the same kindness outward.
To others and to the world around me.
I choose love over fear.
Love is power.
This fear is weakness.
Love is one of the strongest things I carry.
The more freely I give it,
The more naturally it seems to return.
Peace could occupy the space that old conflict takes instead.
I am allowed to set that weight down,
In every direction,
Inside and out.
Without needing anyone else's permission to do so.
Letting go of an old grudge does not mean the past didn't matter.
It means I choose peace now.
I choose peace now.
I choose peace.
I release all the resentment towards others and towards myself.
I release the negativity I have carried,
Knowingly or without noticing.
I choose peace over conflict in every direction.
I choose peace now.
I am at peace with who I am becoming,
With what I am.
I let go of old battles that no longer need to be fought.
I choose peace now.
I rest here for a moment.
Nothing to fix.
Nothing to reach for,
Just presence,
Just breath.
Just awareness.
I let this silence settle a little deeper as the air feels lighter and lighter.
I feel the room around me.
I feel the steadiness.
A deep silence.
This calm place is always available.
I only have to breathe.
I do not have to end my way back here.
It is always here for me.
I am safe.
I am safe.
I am here.
I release what no longer serves me,
And I welcome what brings me peace.
Thank the open space for this moment of clarity.
I thank the cosmos for the peace.
I thank the luminous mind.
The abundance of love and safety.
Now it is time to enjoy the silence.
