Hello and welcome to the Spiritual Growth and Alignment Mindfulness Exercise Series.
Find a nice comfortable space free from distraction to sit quietly or lay down if you wish.
If sitting,
Make sure that your legs are not crossed and your feet are flat on the floor,
Your hands on your legs,
Your fingertips at your knees.
Take a nice deep breath in and release.
Allow your body to gently respond to the breath by relaxing as you breathe in for a count of five and breathe out for a count of five.
Continue this gentle breathing in and out to the count of five,
Allowing thoughts to come and go,
Acknowledging them and allowing them to slip away,
Drawing your attention to the breath and the body and how the body responds to the gentle,
Slow,
Deep in and out breathing.
And now say to yourself,
My spirit is expanding and evolving every day.
My spirit is expanding and evolving every day.
My spirit is expanding and evolving every day.
Feel your energy expanding out and connecting to all around you and say to yourself again,
My spirit is expanding and evolving every day.
My spirit is expanding and evolving every day.
My spirit is expanding and evolving every day.
Just allow yourself to feel that gentle expansion and connection and gently with the deep,
Slow breathing to the count of five,
Saying to yourself again,
My spirit is expanding and evolving every day.
My spirit is expanding and evolving every day.
My spirit is expanding and evolving every day.
And bringing your awareness back to the breath,
Allowing yourself now to become more aware of your surroundings,
Stretching and wriggling your toes,
Your fingers,
Your arms and your legs,
Opening your eyes and relaxing in the now moment,
Ready to continue with your day.
