Hello and welcome to the first mindfulness exercise in the Spiritual Growth and Alignment series.
Find somewhere quiet where you won't be disturbed.
Free from any interruptions for at least 10 minutes.
Sit comfortably or lay down.
Sit with your feet flat on the floor if you are sitting.
Your hands on your legs with your fingertips at your knees.
Take a nice slow deep breath in and release gently and slowly.
Just breathing in deeply and slowly to a count of 5.
And then releasing nice and slowly to a count of 5.
Just falling into the breath and bringing your awareness to the breath and the body.
Allowing your thoughts to come and go.
Acknowledging them and letting them slip away.
Feeling the body begin to relax.
Continuing the deep slow breathing to a count of 5.
And now say to yourself,
I am aligned with the energy of the universe.
With the energy of the universe.
Aligned with the energy of the universe.
Feel the energy of the universe flowing down through your crown.
Swirling in and around.
Feel the connection growing this energy as it moves through and around your body.
Say to yourself again,
I am aligned with the energy of the universe.
I am aligned with the energy of the universe.
I am aligned with the energy of the universe.
Feel the energy from the universe as it grows around you.
Feel the vibration of this energy and hear it.
The connection now growing strong.
As you again say to yourself,
I am aligned with the energy of the universe.
I am aligned with the energy of the universe.
I am aligned with the energy of the universe.
Taking nice slow deep breaths in and out.
Focusing on the universe's energy flowing through you.
Allowing that energy now to have completely integrated.
And drawing your awareness back to the breath and your body.
Breathing in for a count of five and out for a count of five.
Centering yourself back into the now moment.
Wriggling your toes and your fingers.
Stretching your arms and your legs.
Opening your eyes.
Ready to move now back into your day.
