Are you in your bed trying so hard to fall asleep but your mind is going like a million miles per hour?
Are you in your bed laying away just staring at the ceiling and hoping somehow you can fall asleep?
Are you tossing and turning and trying just so your body can relax and go to sleep?
If yes,
Then this meditation is for you.
Oftentimes,
Our mind takes over our body and it is so hard for us to just relax.
In this meditation,
I will guide you back to your body so you can let go,
Surrender and sleep.
Just taking a few moments to make sure you are comfortable in your bed.
Just adjusting your position to make sure every part of your body is supported,
Relaxed and feels cozy,
Safe and comfortable.
While taking a few minutes to do a quick scan from top to bottom and notice all the surfaces that your body is touching your bed,
Making sure you are supported,
Bringing your attention towards your forehead,
Relaxing and softening the skin on top of your forehead and just saying these words to yourself,
My dear mind,
We have done enough for today.
Enough thinking,
Enough planning,
Enough strategizing,
Let's shut down for the day,
We have accomplished so much today,
It's time to rest and recharge,
Let's dim our lights,
Let's slow down our thinking process,
Let's embrace the pause,
The reset,
We have done enough today,
We have given everything to this day today,
Let's slow down,
Let's dim the lights,
Let's rest,
Dear mind,
It's time to shut off,
It's time to quiet down our thoughts and all the planning and all the doing,
Dear mind,
Let's take a rest for now and focusing on your eyes,
Gently closing your eyes,
Dear eyes,
We have seen enough today,
We have seen all the colors of life today,
There were so many things that we saw,
The vivid colors of this day today,
Let's shut down,
Let's embrace the darkness for now,
It's okay to pause,
To not see anything,
It's okay to rest so that we may begin with a fresh experience tomorrow,
Let's pause and let's reset for today,
Let's embrace the stillness and the darkness for now,
Bringing your attention to your jaws and your face and your cheeks,
Softening them,
My dear jaws,
We held so much today,
We experienced a varied range of emotions today,
Now it's time to soften into the blanket of the night,
Rest and recharge,
Let us dissolve all our emotions and soften into the warm embrace of the night,
Bringing your attention to your mouth,
Dear mouth,
We have tasted all the beautiful food today,
Now it's time to just settle down and allow for a deep reset,
We have spoken all we could today,
We have expressed so much today,
We have embraced so much of others energy today,
We have spoken some of the greatest words today,
It's time to shut down,
It's time to embrace the silence,
Let's just allow ourselves to whisper and to slow down into this night today,
Let us just sink into the breaths of softness and allow ourselves to rest,
Gently bringing your attention to your shoulders,
My dear shoulders,
We have carried so much today,
All the weight,
All the responsibilities,
Everything on ourselves today,
It's time to just unburden ourselves and let go of all the heaviness that we have carried through the day,
It's time to just sink into the softness of the bed and just relax and let go,
Allowing your shoulders to completely drop and sink into the softness of your bed,
Dear shoulders,
It's ok to let go,
It's ok to relax,
You are allowed to take rest,
Softening your shoulders a little bit more,
Softening your elbows,
Relaxing your hands,
Dear hands,
We created so much today,
We accomplished so much today,
Now it's time to just let go and relax,
We are tired,
We cannot create anymore today,
It's time to just surrender and let it be,
So that we can relax,
Bringing your attention to your heart area,
Dear heart,
We had so much to witness,
To absorb today,
We went through a whole lot of emotions,
It's time to slow down,
It's time to honour our energy,
Thank you for upholding me through the day today,
I give you the permission to process everything and to slow down my metabolism,
I give you the permission to rest,
To deeply recharge me,
I give you the permission to soften,
To slow down my body,
So I may take some much required rest,

The seat of intuition and your emotional balance,

Help me shut down and prepare for a deep night's rest,

Bringing your attention to the base of your spine on your lower hip,
My dear root,
Thank you for supporting me today,
Thank you for making me feel safe and supported throughout the day,
Now it's time to rest,
Please help me to release any insecurities,
Any fear that I may be carrying today,
Help me feel safe in this moment,
That is what I need,
Help me release all the burdens of life that I may be carrying,
Help me release all the insecurities that I may be holding on to,
I allow you to believe in my higher self and I am ready to give myself permission to just sleep,
