Welcome to the Root Chakra Meditation.
I invite you to get into a comfortable position.
How you sit is irrelevant,
Whether you're lying down or sitting up,
As long as you feel supported and your spine is straight.
Take a few moments to settle yourself,
And when you're ready,
Close your eyes and take a deep breath in.
Exhale,
And take a few breaths just to help you to let go of the day's concerns.
Bring your awareness to your head,
And feel it just letting go of the tension.
Bring your awareness to your eyes,
And feel them sinking back in their sockets.
Your eyes,
Your cheeks,
Your jaw is relaxed and open and unclenched.
Your shoulders are feeling heavy.
You feel gravity pulling down on your body as you begin to let go of all the tension.
Your body is easing into a state of relaxation.
Bring your awareness to your chest,
And notice the natural rise and fall of your chest as you breathe.
Bring your awareness to your arms,
Your wrists,
The back of your hands,
The palm of your hands.
Feel all the tension leaving your fingers.
Now bring your awareness to your abdomen,
Opening it up,
Feeling relaxation spread throughout your entire body.
Letting go as you bring your awareness to your hips,
Your thighs,
Your calves,
Feeling supported wherever you may be.
Feeling the connection between you and the surface that you're on.
Bring your awareness to your ankles,
The tops of your feet,
The soles of your feet,
And your toes.
Your entire body has completely let go and surrendered itself to gravity and relaxation.
You feel deeply relaxed.
Your eyes feel heavy.
Your body feels heavy.
Your limbs feel limp.
Thoughts that come in,
Leave your mind so that you can be clear-headed and relaxed.
Envision yourself now in a clearing full of lush green grass,
Your bare feet,
And you can feel the soil and the grass beneath your toes.
The sun shining down on you,
Giving you a nice warm feeling throughout your body.
As you look around the clearing,
You see that you're surrounded by a beautiful,
Lush,
Thick forest of large trees in full bloom,
Green and beautiful.
You notice one particular tree that's larger than the rest.
It's strong and wide.
You slowly walk towards it,
And you put your hand on the trunk of the tree,
Feeling the bark,
Feeling the tree,
Connecting to the trunk of the tree.
You wrap your arms around the trunk and close your eyes as you lay your cheek against the trunk so that you can feel the energy that's being exchanged between you and this majestic oak tree.
It's as if you and the tree are one.
You can feel this tree.
You open your eyes and you look down and you notice a little nook where the roots of the tree are entering the ground that looks very inviting.
You turn around and settle into this nook,
Sitting down between the roots with your back against that trunk of the tree.
You can feel the ground beneath you,
The tree behind you,
And you feel nestled and comforted by the roots around you.
As you're sitting here,
You close your eyes and you breathe in a bright red light of energy.
This bright red light goes through your body and spins at the level of your tailbone,
Where you're connected to the earth.
It is a vibrant red,
And your awareness is focused on this bright light within you.
As the light spins,
It grows,
And you notice that it's expanding throughout your body.
It's warm,
It's comfortable,
You feel safe and secure.
The light continues to grow and expand and spread throughout your entire body.
And as it grows with intensity,
You can feel the surge of the spinning,
Pulling all the negative memories,
Energy,
Beliefs out of your body.
Healing you at a cellular level.
It's spinning and pulling,
And as it's pulling,
It starts to create a vortex of spinning light up your spinal column.
Rising throughout your body,
Pulling all the negativity out at the different levels of your body as it rises.
It's moving up,
Higher and higher.
And as you breathe out,
All of this negativity leaves your body,
Out your breath,
And up into the universe.
Healing you,
Releasing it,
Clearing it.
You sit for a few minutes,
Letting this ball of intense red light spinning and rising through your body.
Do what it's meant to do.
Pulling out limiting beliefs and replacing it with strong foundations,
Strong beliefs.
Your breathing is relaxed,
Comfortable and natural.
You feel safe and secure in the nook of this tree,
As the light does its job.
After a few minutes,
The light begins to diminish and shrink back down to a smaller red glow at the base of your spine again.
You feel lighter.
You feel happier.
And you realize,
As you're sitting there,
That you have so much potential.
And you can connect to this light whenever you need it.
To clear yourself.
Balance your root chakra.
And heal.
As you're sitting there,
You think to yourself,
I am grounded.
I am safe.
I am secure.
I am happy.
I am connected to the earth.
I am supported.
Take a few more deep breaths.
And just sit for a few minutes in appreciation of the feeling of security,
Support and contentment.
When you're ready,
I invite you back to the current moment.
In your present environment.
Gently wiggle your toes.
Wiggle your fingers.
And slowly,
Whenever you're ready,
Open your eyes.
And enjoy the feeling of having let go.
