Hello loves and welcome to your meditation sitting with pain.
I'm sure you picked this meditation because right now maybe you're experiencing some body pain,
Maybe you're experiencing some emotional pain,
Or maybe you're just not feeling comfortable in the space that you're at right now.
This meditation is geared toward allowing yourself to be okay.
Allowing your body to be heard,
Seen,
And understood,
And also trusting your body and the sensations that it is giving you at this moment and seeing if it has a message for you.
I believe pain is our greatest teacher.
So,
Let's learn from it.
Come with me.
Allow your body to settle.
First,
Ask it,
How would it like to be positioned?
Does it want to sit?
Does it want to lay down?
Does it want to stand?
Listen and allow.
As you get into this position,
Ask your body again.
Does it need anything else to feel more comfortable?
Does it need an extra pillow?
Does it want to move from one side to the next?
Ask it and allow.
Allow yourself to take an inhale into the pocket of your body that needs the most support right here,
Right now.
Slowly inhaling through your nose.
Exhaling through the mouth.
Let's do that two more times.
Inhale through the nose.
Exhale through the mouth.
Inhale through the nose.
Exhale through the mouth.
Bring your internal awareness into the pocket of your body.
We're going to observe it.
First,
Giving it gratitude for allowing you to see it.
Thank you for allowing me to sit with you and be seen.
Now,
Observe if there is a color that is present in this area of your body.
Visualize the shade of the color.
If you don't see a color,
That is okay too.
There's no right or wrong way to do this.
Now,
Observe if you see a shape.
Observe the size of the shape.
Observe if there is a texture of this energy.
As you continue to observe,
Remember there's no judgment,
Just observation.
Visualize this energy pulling up off of your body and sitting right in front of you.
We give this energy gratitude for being seen and we ask it some self-anchoring questions.
What are you holding energy?
Listen and allow it to tell you.
If it's holding anything,
Ask it,
Is what it's holding all your energy or is it coming from a different place?
Maybe an older version of you or maybe an energy that is not yours.
Ask it and allow.
Ask the energy,
Is it holding a particular emotion?
Listen and allow.
As you ask these questions,
Observe if the energy shifts.
Does it shift in color or size or texture?
Just observe.
As you continue to observe this energy,
I invite you to speak to the energy with these words of affirmations if it feels right.
Energy,
I see you.
I hear you.
I'm listening right now.
Forgive me if I have not seen you or heard you in the past.
I am practicing trusting you and allowing you to be exactly where you are.
Thank you.
Slowly allow those words to resonate into the pocket of your body.
Observe how that area feels now versus when you started this meditation.
Slowly wiggle your fingers.
Open your eyes.
Come back in.
