Welcome.
If you've chosen this practice today.
Perhaps a part of you.
Has been carrying more than it was ever meant to.
The pressure to keep going.
To squeeze one more thing into the day.
To believe.
You've only earned rest.
Once you've crossed some invisible finish line.
For the next few minutes,
You don't have to carry.
Any of that.
If it feels comfortable.
Gently close your eyes.
Place one hand over your heart.
And the other over your abdomen.
Feel your own breath beneath your hands.
Without changing anything.
Simply notice.
That you've made it here.
Take a slow breath in.
And exhale gently.
Allow your body.
To become.
A little heavier.
Notice if there is a part of you that is not.
Still wanting to rush ahead.
The voice that says,
Just one more email.
Just let it soften into the background.
Take another deep inhale.
And release it slowly.
Silently repeat.
I am allowed to pause.
Again.
I am allowed to pause.
Feel those words settling into your body.
Not because you've earned this moment.
But because being human.
It doesn't require earning rest.
Take one more gentle breath.
And quietly remind yourself.
I have done what I could for today.
I can let this moment go.
Be enough.
Notice how your body responds when you stop asking more of yourself.
There is a quiet strength in slowing down.
There is wisdom in stopping before you're completely spent.
Take one final nourishing breath in.
And slowly breathe out.
When you're ready,
Gently open your eyes,
Bringing this sense of ease with you into the rest of your day.
Remember.
Your value has never.
.
.
Been measured.
By how much you accomplish.
It has always lived within you.
