Welcome back.
Today we'll practice a simple breathing technique called the two sips breath.
It's a gentle way to invite a little calm into the body when anxiety begins to rise.
We'll start by taking one soft full breath in through the nose.
Followed by a second smaller sip of air.
Then we'll release the breath slowly through the mouth.
With a gentle sigh.
There's no need to force the breath.
Or fill beyond what's comfortable.
Let's begin.
Find a comfortable position.
Allow the body to soften.
Take a full breath in.
And a full breath out.
Now gently breathe through the nose.
And a second sip.
And then sigh it out through the mouth.
Again,
Breathe in softly.
And take one more sip.
And release with a long,
Easy sigh.
Continue with this breath.
At your pace.
Take two more rounds of breath.
And then gently release and return to your natural breath.
Pause here,
Notice how the body is feeling.
And we'll take a few more of those breaths together.
Full inhale.
And exhale.
And here we go.
Inhale.
Second sip.
Exhale.
Continue going.
As you continue,
There's no right or wrong.
Find the pace and the depth that works for you.
Comfortable,
Inhale.
A second sip.
And a long,
Unhurried exhale.
Finish this round and let your breath return to its natural rhythm.
Notice the feeling of your body being supported.
Perhaps there's a little more space around your thoughts.
A little more ease in your chest.
Simply notice how you feel.
There's no right or wrong.
You can carry this two sips breath with you as a little pocket practice for whenever anxiety arises.
Pause and take a few moments for a few gentle rounds.
Two soft sips of air through the nose,
And one long easy release.
A simple way to reconnect with your breath wherever you are.
May you find a little more ease,
One breath at a time.
