This is a meditation for those who have experienced any type of pregnancy loss.
Whether it's been a week,
A month,
A year,
Seven years.
The time of when it has occurred does not matter.
This is simply a meditation to begin to come back into your body after experiencing a loss.
So go ahead and take a moment to arrive here.
And when it feels good,
Just slowly close your eyes.
Beginning to bring your awareness,
Your focus into your breath.
Noticing your inhales and your exhales.
And know that in this time together,
There is nothing you need to do right now.
Nothing to fix.
No one that requires your attention.
This is simply a moment to come inward into your body.
Beginning to rebuild the bridge,
The relationship between you and your body.
Taking a deep breath in through the nose.
Exhale through the mouth.
And again,
Deep breath in through the nose.
Exhale through the mouth.
And on your exhale,
Allow your shoulders to drop down,
Your hips to sink.
And then gently allow your breath to return to a natural rhythm.
Allowing your wise body to choose the pace.
Letting your breath move through you like a wave.
Moving in,
Moving out.
And I invite you to go ahead and notice how your body is feeling right now.
Notice the places where your body is touching the ground,
The chair,
Maybe even the bed beneath you.
Gently bring your shoulders up to the bottom of the ears.
And then relax your shoulders,
Roll them back down.
You may even want to unclench your jaw.
Just notice if you're holding any tension in your jaw.
Allowing your body this moment to soften.
Relaxing your hands,
All the muscles in your lower back,
Your right hip,
Your left hip.
Softening your lower body all the way down to your toes.
Your body doesn't need to be guarded here.
You don't need.
It is in softening that you will find freedom.
And so taking this breath in through the nose.
Allow your whole body to relax down.
Really sink into the floor beneath you.
Allowing yourself to be held,
To be comforted.
To be cradled by the earth beneath you.
Slowly bringing your awareness down to your feet.
I want you to imagine roots growing from the soles of your feet out into the earth beneath you.
Golden roots coming from the bottoms of your feet,
Sinking deep into the earth.
Allowing yourself to be rooted and held.
Imagine them moving through the floor,
Down through the soil,
Through the rock,
Through the clay,
Deep into the earth beneath you.
Letting those roots anchor you and letting the earth hold you.
Taking a slow breath in.
Let your grief be held by the earth.
Your emotions,
Your experience.
Gently imagine drawing that calm,
Steady energy of the earth into your roots.
The earth is patient.
She knows how to hold what feels heavy.
Noticing your body sink even deeper into the space beneath you.
Gently imagining those golden roots collecting that earth's strength,
Her stability,
Her calm.
And bringing that into your roots,
Traveling from the middle of the earth,
Up through the soil,
Up through the clay.
Connecting in with the bottoms of your feet.
Bringing that sense of stability and safety into your body now.
Feeling it come all the way up your legs,
Into your hips.
Taking a deep breath in.
Exhale out through the mouth.
And just tuning into your body now,
Bringing your attention into your heart space.
If it feels good,
You may want to place a hand right on your chest.
And your mind to your body,
Dear body.
I hear you.
And I.
.
.
Let those words settle.
There's no need to analyze them.
Just simply allow them to float through your body like a warm hug.
I see you.
I hear you.
I love you.
Gently allow your attention now to move from your heart to your belly.
Again,
Only if it feels good,
You can place a hand on your belly.
If not,
If you're not there yet,
That's okay.
Just simply allow your hands to rest to your side.
But bringing your focus,
Your attention into your belly,
Into your womb space.
Gently imagine a soft light beginning to glow here.
A warm,
Beautiful light.
It could be golden,
Or pink,
Or brilliant white.
Whichever color feels right for you,
Choose that color.
And allow that light to glow softly in your womb.
Breathing into that space.
Let the warmth spread gently through your belly to your hips.
There is great healing in the recognition of the experience that you've been through.
And it is best to allow yourself to feel your own ache.
Feel that light,
That warm light opening anything that has grown hard or closed.
If tears come,
Allow them to.
Tears are simply another way that the body releases the heaviness that it's been carrying.
So imagine this light expanding here to your lower abdomen,
Lower back.
Bringing it in.
Gently allow this light to fill your body.
Expanding from your womb to your heart,
To your throat,
Out the top of your head,
Your hips,
Out the bottoms of your feet.
Allow love and compassion to your womb.
Taking a slow breath in.
Feel your body resting here.
Notice this quiet strength that still lives inside you.
Your body is still your home.
Your body is still your ally.
And each time you return here to your womb and your heart with kindness,
You're beginning to build that bridge of reconnection back home to yourself.
Your body is your friend.
She is your ally.
She went through the same experience that you did.
Forgiveness to soften into your womb.
For love to expand at your heart.
Reminder of the resilience and the strength.
Feel the steady rhythm of your heart.
The quiet intelligence of your breath.
The wisdom that lives inside of you.
We don't need to have everything figured out today.
Healing doesn't happen all at once.
It happens in the tender,
Sweet,
Gentle moments like this.
Where you notice your breath.
You soften your muscles.
So taking another slow breath in through your nose.
Your breath.
Your beating heart.
Your hair.
Your soft skin.
Maybe it's simply your feet,
Your toes,
Your fingers.
Whatever comes up for you,
Allow gratitude for this body to expand.
And gently allow this gratitude to deepen your inhales.
Allow gratitude,
Tiny movements to your fingers.
Time that your body is not your enemy.
She is your ally and your friend.
Your companion.
And that every single act of kindness is a seed of healing.
And taking that slow breath in.
I hope you can allow the softness to go with you throughout your day today.
Knowing that at any point in time you can come back to that brilliant color.
That you allowed so beautifully to come in and expand to your body.
And that color will be a point of reminder that you are safe.
That you are here.
And that your body loves you.
