Evening Nervous System Reset
by Jenn Dufour
Evening Nervous System Reset is a soft landing at the end of your day. This 17 minute practice is designed to be done in your bedroom, guiding you out of doing mode and into rest. We begin with slow, simple movements on hands and knees and on your back to melt away the weight of the day from your spine, hips, and shoulders. You will then rest with your legs up the wall, allowing the body to drain, the breath to slow, and the nervous system to feel held. From here, we move into Chandra Bhedana, the Moon Piercing Breath, gently awakening your calming lunar energy and inviting your system into deep ease. The practice concludes as you are guided into bed and toward sleep. You may drift off at any time, letting the breath, the body, and the quiet carry you the rest of the way. This is an offering of rest, a reminder that nothing more is required of you tonight.
