Welcome to this future self visualization.
This is a meditation to help women who tend to struggle with self-sacrifice and self-abandonment.
And it guides you to envision and embody that version of yourself who sets healthy boundaries,
Who loves herself unconditionally,
And knows how to take care of her needs.
So join me for this meditation and start by simply centering your awareness,
Softening and just relaxing here a little bit,
Arriving in your body,
In your space.
You can close your eyes if you choose.
And then gently bringing your awareness to your breath,
Slowing it down,
Softening a little here,
Noticing how the inhale creates a little bit more space in the body,
And then the exhale releases and softens.
A couple more just like that,
Inhaling fully and exhaling to relax and release.
One more.
And on the exhale,
Just noticing how the shoulders drop and everything releases.
This is just your time for you,
Nowhere to go,
Nothing to do here.
And I invite you to bring your awareness now to your body,
Maybe to the points of contact with the earth,
Where you can feel the ground beneath you supporting you,
And then bring your awareness to your heart center here.
Imagine a soft glowing light starting to form and grow.
With each breath,
This light becomes warmer and bigger.
This is the light of your inner being,
Your true self,
The source of unconditional love and endless possibility.
And you can feel this light start to expand and surround you like a big protective bubble or a cocoon,
This warm,
Loving,
Protective glow.
And this light is here now to help you to meet someone very special,
Your future self.
In your mind's eye now,
You can see a path forming in front of you,
Could be through a forest or down to a beach,
Whatever feels safe for you,
You'll know it'll come to you without overthinking it.
Begin walking on this path,
Just noticing every step,
Feeling calm and light.
And then in the distance,
You see her,
There she is,
Your future you.
You notice she seems tall and calm and radiant in her presence.
She carries no shame,
No guilt.
She knows her worth.
She has a strong sense of presence.
As she comes closer,
You notice that she seems grounded and open,
Soft but strong.
Her eyes seem clear and steady and sure of herself.
This woman has walked through a journey and she has come out whole,
Wise and radiant.
Everything she has been through has brought her to this moment.
This woman speaks her truth.
She knows her boundaries.
She honors her time.
She loves herself without apology and puts her needs first.
You look at her with awe and gratitude.
Perhaps you can invite her to sit down next to you,
Maybe on a park bench or a chair.
Take some time to get to know each other.
This is your chance to really learn how she got here,
What she had to let go of,
What helped her to become this version of herself.
Don't overthink it here,
Just let the messages come.
Notice any feelings that arise,
Any messages,
And really enjoying being in her presence here.
Maybe you can ask her,
What does a day look like?
How does she talk to herself?
What are her relationships like?
How does she rest?
How does she play?
What does she do that fills her time and fills her life with joy?
And as you're sitting here together,
Sharing this wonderful moment,
You suddenly realize that this version of you already exists.
She is you and you are her.
And as you breathe here,
You notice you're starting to meld into one.
You are remembering her.
You feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude and contentment,
Knowing that this is where you're heading.
You are coming home to her.
And as you both integrate into each other,
You know that she is inside you.
She walks with you.
You have her guidance and her wisdom.
You smile gently to yourself.
You say thank you,
And you feel a deep sense of thankfulness,
A sense of knowing.
And you have the chance to say your final goodbyes here,
Knowing that this is where your future lies and that she is within you always.
And when you're ready,
Begin to return to the present moment,
Once again feeling the support beneath you,
Maybe wriggling fingers and toes.
Take a few deep breaths into your heart.
And when you're ready,
Open your eyes,
Bringing with you the essence of your future self and that sense of gratitude.
