Close your eyes and let your breath deepen.
Inhale slowly and exhale softly.
Again,
Inhale the freshness of possibility.
And exhale anything heavy that no longer needs to stay.
Imagine yourself standing at the edge of a wide open meadow.
The earth beneath your feet is soft and living,
Warm from the rising sun.
A hush lingers in the early morning air.
Yet the world is stirring.
Blades of grass kiss your ankles.
Dew sparkles like tiny stars,
And the horizon glows with golden light.
This is a sacred place.
A place between realms.
And it is here that the story begins.
Long ago,
Before even the first grain was planted,
There was a god born of sea and soil.
Freyr,
The son of Njord,
The sea god who rode the waves and the twin brother to Freya.
Emerged from the ancient Varna tribe.
These were not warrior gods like Aesir.
But keepers of peace,
Fertility and the deep magic of the land.
While the Aesir ruled with might,
The Vanir nourish the life from within.
When the war broke out between the two tribes,
It was not of steel that ended the fighting,
But a sacred exchange.
As a token of peace,
Freyr was given to the Æsir,
Bringing with him the lifeblood of the earth and the cycles of renewal.
He carried the energy of the harvests,
Of sunshine and rainfall,
Of love and longing.
His sword could fight of its own accord.
Yet he set it aside,
For Freya's greatest power was not in battle,
But in blessing.
And now he walks towards you.
You see him now,
Tall,
Calm,
Luminous.
His hair gleams like ripened wheat and his smile carries the kindness of warm rain.
He walks barefoot through the grass and with every step life follows.
Flowers bloom at his heels,
The land responds to his presence.
His energy is vibrant and tender,
Grounding and uplifting,
The essence of sacred masculine in harmony with the earth.
Imagine Freya,
Place his hand gently over your heart.
A golden warmth begins to bloom into your chest.
Breathe into it.
Inhale.
The energy of growth.
Exhale resistance stagnation down.
Let this golden light expand with each breath.
Flowing through your entire body like gentle sunlight through spring leaves.
Begin to walk with flair through the meadow.
The air is fragrant with thyme,
Honeysuckle and sun-warmed herbs.
Bees hum in a low melodic rhythm.
Nature's lullaby of abundance.
You feel a breeze,
Soft and sweet,
Carrying the scent of hayfields and orchards.
You pass the fruit trees,
Heavy with promise,
Wildflowers nodding in approval.
Every element of this world is thriving and so are you.
Symbols of Freya's realm appear before you.
A golden ball with bristles that glow in the dark,
Running free through the fields.
It's his sacred companion,
Gullenbursti.
An antlered crown rising through the grass,
Connecting sky and soil.
And a ship,
Light as silk and able to cross land or sea,
Always bringing its riders safely home.
Let yourself drink in this world with all your senses.
You are safe.
You are welcome.
You belong here in the arms of a generous living earth.
Prayer returns to you.
Though his lips don't move,
You hear his message in the very wind.
Repeat these words softly or in your heart.
I am connected to the rhythms of the earth.
I welcome abundance in all forms.
I plant seeds of joy,
Love and intention.
I honour the cycles of growth,
Rest and renewal.
I embrace gentle strength,
Grounded presence and sacred power.
Feel these words take root.
Let them spiral deep into your being.
Future harvests already blooming within you.
Now kneel once more and place your palms to the soil.
Feel the gentle heartbeat of the land.
It's patience,
It's wisdom,
It's quiet promise that life always returns.
Prayer offers you a blessing.
A single glowing seed.
Take it.
It's a symbol of what you are ready to grow.
Be love.
Prosperity,
Healing.
Or deeper purpose.
Hold it close to your heart.
Now slowly allow the vision of the mirror to fade.
But let the essence remain.
Breathe deeply.
Feel the warmth still in your chest.
The roots still grounding your feet.
Carry this energy with you into your day.
Into your weave.
And into your life.
Begin to wiggle your fingers and your toes.
And gently stretch your body.
And when you are ready,
Open your eyes,
Restored,
Connected and blessed by the living light of prayer.
