Hello and welcome.
Today we collect our gratitude as if it were a bountiful harvest.
They are blessings that are not only for our benefit,
But are also meant to be shared with our loved ones,
Even with those we may never encounter.
Gratitude serves as the thread that connects us all.
If you'd like to enhance this practice,
Grab your journal and pen and keep it nearby.
Now take a comfortable seat or lie down if you prefer.
Close your eyes.
And allow your breath to soften.
Arriving gently into this present moment.
Let's begin by noticing your breath.
Inhale slowly through the nose.
Feeling the chest and belly rise.
Now exhale softly through the mouth letting go.
Let's repeat this three times.
Inhale slowly through your nose.
Chest and belly rising.
Now exhale softly through the mouth.
Just letting it all go.
Right to the bottom.
Again inhale slowly through the nose,
Chest and belly rising.
Exhale softly through the mouth.
Letting it all out.
And one more time.
Inhale slowly through your nose again.
Right up to the top.
And exhale.
Right to the bottom.
Now picture yourself sitting in a golden field at harvest time.
The air is warm,
The earth beneath you rich and steady.
Around you are tall stalks of grain.
Fruits of the season.
The bounty of nature.
Imagine in new hands.
A woven basket.
As you breathe place into the basket moments of gratitude from your life.
Like the kindness of a friend.
Maybe a gift received.
Or a lesson learned.
Or simply the beauty of the day.
With each inhale.
A new blessing appears in the basket.
Now see the basket brimming full to the top.
Notice how it glows,
Light spilling from each gift inside.
Hold the basket close to your chest.
Feel the warmth of thanks filling your heart.
Now imagine standing in a circle.
Friends,
Family,
Loved ones and even those who have simply passed through your life.
Stand beside you.
Each holds their own basket.
Step forward and place your basket in the center of the circle.
Others step forward too,
Offering theirs.
Together,
The baskets merge into one great glowing harvest,
A shared abundance of gratitude.
See the circle of thanks growing wider.
Stretching beyond the field.
Beyond your community,
Reaching out across the earth.
Imagine your gratitude linking with countless others.
Strangers' Ancestors beings yet to come.
Gratitude becoming a golden thread weaving us all together.
Repeat quietly within yourself.
I give thanks for the gifts in my life.
I share my gratitude freely with others.
Gratitude links me with all beings.
My heart is full.
My basket overflowing.
Take one last deep inhale feeling the fullness of your harvest within you.
Exhale slowly sending thanks into the world.
Now gently open your eyes.
Take a moment to prepare.
Let the images of your gratitude stay fresh in your mind.
When you are ready,
Reflect on these three questions for your journal.
What gifts,
Kindnesses or blessings have I received recently that fill my basket of gratitude?
I'll repeat it again.
What gifts,
Kindnesses or blessings have I received recently?
That fill my basket of gratitude.
The second question is,
How can I share my gratitude outward,
Creating ripples of thanks in my relationships and community?
I'll repeat it again.
How can I share my gratitude outward,
Creating ripples of thanks?
In my relationships and community.
The third question is,
What does it feel like in my body and heart when I imagine being part of a circle of shared gratitude?
I'll repeat it again.
What does it feel?
Like in my body and heart.
When I imagine being part of a circle of shared gratitude.
Take your time with these.
There's no right or wrong answer,
Only the truth of your own experience.
Thank you so much for joining me in this gratitude harvest meditation.
Your presence here is a gift and I want to take a moment to honor it.
Gratitude is more than a feeling,
It is a link between hearts and a thread of that connects us to each other and to the abundance around us.
So when we notice the blessings in our lives and share our thanks,
We invite more joy,
Kindness and connection into the world.
So by engaging with this meditation,
You are not only nurturing your heart,
But also creating ripples of gratitude that reach out to others.
With each smile,
Kind words,
Or thought of thanks.
It's a seed ready to grow in someone else's life.
Consider sharing your gratitude with someone today.
It could be a friend or a loved one or even a stranger.
Gratitude multiplies when given away.
Keep this meditation as a gentle reminder that your heart is always full.
That the harvest of kindness in your life is worth celebrating.
Thank you again for being part of the Circle of Gratitude.
May your days be filled with appreciation,
Joy and the warmth of shared connection.
