Hi,
My name is Heather Hemmer and this is your Midday Reset.
We'll start by finding an easy,
Comfortable position.
Take this moment to simply arrive.
Let yourself find a shape that feels steady and easy.
Let your hands rest wherever they naturally fall,
And if it feels okay,
Gently close your eyes or soften your gaze.
The edges of your eyes are soft,
Your jaw slightly open,
And on the next exhale,
Allow your shoulders to melt down your back.
Bring your attention to your breath.
Without changing it,
Just simply notice the breath.
With each inhale,
The body gently fills,
And with each exhale,
The body releases.
Just stay with that sensation of the body filling and the body releasing.
There's nothing you need to fix right now,
Nothing you need to solve.
If your mind feels busy,
That's okay,
That's what minds do.
Just come back to the feeling of your breath,
The body gently filling and the body releasing.
Just check in,
Noticing where your body's holding tension.
Maybe it's in the jaw,
The shoulders,
The belly.
Wherever you notice that tension,
Let the breath help you by inviting just a little bit of softness.
You might even imagine that you're able to set down whatever it is you've been carrying.
And if that feels hard,
It's okay.
You can always come back to it later,
But for now,
You have permission to just let it go.
Here,
You're safe to rest,
Safe to breathe,
Safe to be exactly as you are.
Allow yourself to pause,
To soften,
To slow all the way down.
Stay with the breath,
The in-breath and the out-breath,
The body filling up and the body releasing.
Take a moment here to notice how your body feels now.
Notice where you let go.
Notice any softness.
And allow yourself to hold onto that as you go back into your day.
When you're ready,
Slowly bring your awareness back into your body,
Beginning to wiggle your toes and allow that energy to move upwards into the legs,
The hips,
The torso,
Across the shoulders,
Down the arms,
Into your hands,
And maybe a gentle stretch or yawn,
And then gently opening the eyes.
And when you're ready,
You can move back into your day with this gentle awareness of your body.
Sending you off with love and light until next time,
I'm Heather Hemmer.
