Let's talk about something that can change the entire direction of your life.

Manifestation.

Now,

I know what you're thinking.

I've tried it.

I've read every book,

Watched all the videos and maybe even made a vision board.

But it still feels like something's missing.

If this sounds familiar,

I want you to know you're not alone.

So many people feel just like you do.

They've tried to manifest more money,

A new relationship or maybe even better health.

But no matter how hard they try,

It seems like nothing moves forward.

Or if it does,

The results don't last.

Why?

Because behind every supposed failure is often a misunderstanding.

A few key misconceptions that are silently blocking you from the success you deserve.

The truth is it's not your fault.

Most of us have been taught a version of manifestation that only scratches the surface,

Overlooking the very blocks keeping us from our goals.

And that's what we're here to uncover today.

I want to discuss the three most common misconceptions about manifestation that might be holding you back and reveal how you can break free of them to finally start seeing real,

Lasting change.

First,

Let's dive into what is probably the most widespread myth.

The idea that manifestation is all about positive thinking.

How often have you been told,

Just keep thinking positive thoughts and everything will work out?

It's an idea we encounter constantly.

A well-meaning message packaged into memes,

Colourful mantras and self-help books.

Now don't get me wrong,

Positive thinking has its place.

But let's face it,

A bright smile and cheerful affirmations won't magically erase your problems.

I used to think that way too.

I remember recording affirmations exactly like,

I'm wealthy,

Abundance is everywhere.

I am successful.

I played them in my car,

I said them in the mornings and I thought I was doing everything right.

But despite all of that effort,

Nothing significant actually changed.

Sure,

I felt good temporarily,

But deep down I was still stuck in the same place.

Why?

Because I hadn't addressed my subconscious mind and the beliefs that were running under the surface.

You see,

Thinking positively on the surface can be just that,

Surface level.

Underneath subconscious beliefs that you're not good enough or that life is a struggle are still heavily influencing you.

Limiting subconscious beliefs override your conscious mind's efforts to think positively.

You can't expect to create a fulfilling life if,

Deep down,

Your mind is still operating from fear,

Scarcity and self-doubt.

So yes,

You can say I'm rich every day,

But if you've always had an internal belief that money is hard to come by,

That deeper narrative is the one shaping your reality.

It's like pulling on two ends of a rope,

Consciously pulling towards positive thoughts while your subconscious pulls toward the limiting beliefs you've carried for years.

And often,

The subconscious part of us wins.

For true manifestation to occur,

You need to do more than just think positive thoughts.

You need to rewire your brain.

Dispenza's research into neuroplasticity shows us that our subconscious habits and neural pathways are deeply ingrained through years of patterns,

Often rooted in childhood,

And we have to deliberately reprogram these to make lasting changes.

It's all about rewiring the subconscious,

Healing emotional wounds,

And making sure your mind isn't sabotaging your own efforts behind the scenes.

But here's the good news,

The moment you align your thoughts,

Emotional state and actions,

You start creating a new reality.

This isn't just self-help fluff,

This is the science of how the brain works,

How it's wired and how it can be rewired.

To truly master manifestation,

We need to go deeper than positive thinking.

We need to do the inner work,

Bringing those subconscious beliefs to light,

Understanding them and shifting them.

When you start to heal those parts of yourself,

You'll notice that the positive thoughts and affirmations then finally have fertile ground to take root.

Suddenly the change you've been wishing for starts to come more naturally,

Without so much resistance or effort.

That brings us to the second big misconception,

The idea that you need to obsessively focus on what you want in order to manifest it.

Maybe you've tried this before,

Keeping your goals at the forefront of your mind,

Visualising them multiple times a day,

Maybe even worrying about them constantly.

The belief here is that by repeatedly bringing it into focus,

You somehow force the universe to deliver.

But if you've tried this approach,

You know it usually ends in exhaustion or frustration,

Because the more attached you become to the outcome,

The more it seems to slip further away.

And that's because obsession with the outcome is actually rooted in fear.

Fear that you don't have it yet.

Fear that it might not happen.

One of the most powerful lessons I've learned,

Through both personal experience and teachings,

Is that the more obsessively you focus on the what,

The more you invite anxiety,

Stress and resistance into your process.

When you fixate on the outcome,

You might unknowingly reinforce feelings of lack.

The thought that,

I don't have this yet.

And what energy does that put out into the universe?

The energy of lack.

So think about this.

When you're hyper-focused on something,

Constantly obsessing over whether it's going to happen,

In essence you're operating from a place of scarcity,

Confirming to yourself that your current state is one of not having enough.

What should you do instead?

This is where we draw from the wisdom of Neville,

Who teaches about living in the end.

Instead of obsessing over the details of how you're going to get there,

And when it will finally happen,

Start acting as though it's already a done deal.

Imagine you've already achieved your goal and then start to embody what that version of yourself would do.

How would you approach your day if you were already earning the income you desire?

How would you treat yourself if you were already physically healthy or in a loving relationship?

You begin to magnetise what you want,

Not by wanting it badly,

But by being the person who already has it.

To bring this into practical terms,

Let's look at athletes like Michael Phelps or Serena Williams.

These world-class athletes don't just train physically,

They train their minds too,

Obsessively imagining every race,

Every point,

Until their vision matches their reality.

But the key here isn't obsession with I have to win energy,

It's empowerment.

On the kind of person who wins,

They're living from a place of confidence and certainty that their success is inevitable,

Because they're embodying their championship mindset every day before that gold medal is even placed around their necks.

So practice arriving at the energetic state of already having what you want.

When you match that emotional frequency,

The material world naturally follows,

And that emotional shift turns your focus away from the more desperate version of wanting into a calm,

Peaceful alignment with your desire.

Even more importantly,

Stop trying to micromanage the details.

Understand that the how and when are not for you to decide.

The best things often show up when we release control.

The universe operates on a timeline far beyond what we can see or understand,

What's known as divine timing.

Your job isn't to obsess over every small detail,

But to trust the flow of life and move towards your desires gently and without resistance.

Now this leads us to our third and final misconception,

Which is perhaps the sneakiest of them all.

The misunderstanding that manifestation is all about attracting external things like money,

Love or success.

It's easy to see why people think this.

Who doesn't want those things?

But focusing purely on material outcomes without considering the internal transformation is a bit like trying to grow a tree without focusing on its roots.

You might manage to get some growth,

But it won't last.

Whatever the mind can conceive and believe,

It can achieve.

The powerful part of this quote lies in conceive and believe.

The real work isn't just imagining or desiring something external.

It's about changing your self-concept first.

If you don't shift who you are at your core,

Any changes you manifest externally can be fleeting.

Take lottery winners for example.

Studies show that many people who suddenly come into massive wealth end up losing it within a few years.

Why?

Because they haven't developed the internal habits,

Mindset or self-worth to maintain that wealth.

The external manifestation came,

But the internal work hadn't been done.

In contrast,

Look at someone like Oprah Winfrey.

Her success is not purely the result of wanting wealth or fame.

Oprah made personal growth an essential part of her journey.

From early struggles,

She focused on healing her emotional wounds,

Developing her self-worth and becoming the best version of herself.

The external success followed because she did the internal work first.

So if you've been hyper-focused on achieving something material,

Whether it's money,

The perfect relationship or a dream job,

Step back for a moment and consider,

Who do I need to become in order to attract those things into my life?

Focus on being the type of person who naturally aligns with the things you want.

Alright,

We've talked about the first two common misconceptions of manifestation.

Now I invite you to pause for a moment and ask yourself,

Do any of these resonate with you so far?

Have you been trying to force something by only thinking positive thoughts or obsessing over the outcome?

If so,

I encourage you to start reflecting on where your deeper beliefs might need to shift or where you could release control and trust the process more.

Now let's continue our conversation because we're just getting to the heart of it.

We've already explored two of the biggest misconceptions about manifestation,

Thinking it's all about positive thoughts or obsessively focusing on the outcome.

But there's still one more key misunderstanding we need to address and it's one that tends to hide in plain sight.

This third misconception is the idea that manifestation is mainly about getting things,

Like money,

Fame,

Relationships or success,

Without focusing on who you actually are becoming in the process.

This is such a common trap and I see it all the time.

We have all these desires,

Right?

We want more money.

We want a perfect romantic partner.

We want to live a life that feels successful and abundant.

And there's absolutely nothing wrong with wanting these things.

Manifestation,

After all,

Is about bringing our desires into form.

But here's where it gets tricky.

Manifestation isn't just about acquiring external things.

It's about internal transformation.

It's about aligning who you are on the inside with the life you want to manifest on the outside.

To illustrate this,

Let's look at one of the most fascinating examples,

Lottery winners.

It's a common story,

Isn't it?

Someone wins millions upon millions of dollars and yet within a few short years they've lost it all.

How does this happen?

It's not because they weren't lucky enough or because the universe somehow reversed its gift.

It's because they hadn't transformed themselves to align with the wealth they had received.

They hadn't shifted their mindset,

Their habits,

Or their self-worth to match the level of abundance they wanted to sustain.

While they may have manifested that win,

They weren't yet the version of themselves who could hold on to it.

The external result came and went because the internal changes weren't made.

So how do we avoid this trap?

How do we prevent ourselves from simply focusing on what we want without transforming internally to receive and maintain it?

The answer lies in tuning into the kind of person you need to become,

Focusing on being rather than merely having.

Look at someone like Jim Carrey,

A great example.

There's a famous story about how,

Several years before his breakthrough in Hollywood,

He wrote himself a cheque for 10 million.

He kept that cheque in his wallet and thought about it often,

Sure.

But that wasn't all he did.

Jim Carrey didn't just sit around waiting for a dream role to appear.

He started showing up day after day as though he was already that actor who could command millions.

He dove into his craft,

He worked at it tirelessly,

And he became the actor who deserved and was ready for 10 million dollar roles.

In the same way,

When you focus solely on external material gains,

You risk missing the whole point of manifestation.

Attraction doesn't come from a vacuum,

It comes from you,

From the person you are becoming day by day.

Think of any really successful person,

Not just those who have achieved temporary success,

But those who've sustained it over time.

Whether it's Oprah Winfrey,

Tony Robbins,

Or Elon Musk,

They didn't just wake up one day and decide they wanted success.

They focused on becoming individuals who could handle success,

Lead others,

And carry the weight of their desires with grace and responsibility.

That's one of the key differences between short-term success and long-lasting fulfilment.

You'll notice that people who've done the internal work to align with their desires don't just gain success,

They keep evolving with it because they've made the necessary shifts within themselves.

It's a continuous journey of becoming the kind of energy that sustains the life you want to live.

So ask yourself this,

Who do I need to become to manifest the things I want?

If you're wanting more financial abundance,

Maybe the question is,

What kind of person would I be if I already had all the money I desired?

How would you spend your time?

What habits would you change?

Likewise,

If you're looking for love,

Shift your attention to becoming a person who feels worthy of love,

Or someone who is capable of being in a healthy,

Fulfilling relationship.

Instead of waiting around for the perfect partner to come into your life,

Focus on becoming the kind of person who would naturally attract that kind of love.

Is there emotional healing that needs to happen?

Are there old wounds you haven't addressed?

This is where the real magic of manifestation starts to happen.

It's not in simply focusing on external desires or endlessly visualising outcomes,

It's in this process of inner growth and being.

And the incredible truth is,

As you evolve,

The universe begins to shift in ways you never imagined.

Opportunities align,

Synchronicities happen,

Things you once thought were out of reach become part of your everyday life,

Not because you forced them into existence,

But because you became the kind of person who naturally attracts them.

Now,

When we begin to focus on who we are becoming,

We also start to address resistance.

This brings us back to one of the core ideas we touched on earlier,

Non-resistance.

Remember when we talked about the concepts of non-resistance and trust?

This is where they become essential.

If you have the desire for something,

Whether it's success,

Love or fulfilment,

Your next step isn't forcing it to show up,

Your work is to identify what's blocking it.

That resistance might look like doubt,

Fear or old beliefs that you've carried around for years without realising it.

This is why tuning into your state,

How you feel when you think about your desires,

Is so important.

If thinking about the life you want brings up worry,

Frustration or desperation,

You're blocking the very things you want from coming to you.

That's the resistance you need to address.

Fortunately,

There's an incredibly empowering truth in this.

Identifying resistance isn't about adding more steps to your process,

It's actually about letting go.

It's about peeling away what doesn't belong,

Much like a sculptor removes excess marble to reveal a masterpiece underneath.

You stop being someone who chases outcomes and start being someone who attracts them.

Take some time to reflect on your own life right now.

Are you possibly stuck in any of these three misconceptions?

Is there a part of you that's been trying to force positive thoughts while ignoring deep underlying beliefs?

Do you find yourself obsessing over the outcome,

Hoping that if you think about it hard enough it'll just appear?

Or perhaps you've been focusing too much on external things without thinking about who you're actually becoming in the process?

If any of these resonate with you,

Know that it's a beautiful opportunity for change,

An invitation to realign your approach to manifestation.

Because here's the truth that I want you to carry away today.

Manifestation is not about waiting for the world to give you the life you want.

It's about creating that life from the inside out,

Aligning every part of you with that vision and trusting the flow of the universe to bring it to fruition in ways you might never have predicted.

And the more you focus on this internal work,

The more effortless manifestation becomes.

You'll find yourself no longer pushing,

Pulling or fighting to achieve your goals.

Instead,

You'll start gliding towards them with ease,

Allowing life to rearrange in the most incredible ways to support you on your journey.

Now that we've explored these three misconceptions,

I encourage you to take a moment to reflect on the ones that have been holding you back.

Sometimes just becoming aware of the ways we might misinterpret manifestation is the first step towards releasing those blocks.

Remember,

The life you desire is meant for you.

But it's not about chasing it.

It's about stepping into it.

You're already on the path.

It's just a matter of aligning every part of yourself with where you're going.

Thank you for being here with me today.

Good information but I had a visceral reaction to your using Elon Musk as a shining example…Actually, I feel using any examples is ultimately more limiting than helpful! We want to align within ourselves, not to an external representation…. Thanks for your many offerings on IT! 🙏✨
