Sleep.

Sleep is your ally,

Sleep is your friend.

It allows you to recharge your batteries when the day comes to an end.

Some people can manage with a little,

Others they require more.

It's all down to each individual,

Whether you need eight or four.

Drifting,

Dreaming,

Floating,

On your own internal sea.

Unwinding the stories of the day,

And doing it all for free.

Because freedom is where it's at,

As you lay there in your bed.

So relax and enjoy the experience,

And rest your weary head.

Resting your aching body,

Your muscles and tendons and limbs.

Your own personal healing taking place,

Leaving behind the day's wounds.

Whims and woes that can come,

As we make our way through life.

So sleep is a great opportunity,

To forget about trouble and strife.

Strife that can come to test us,

Throughout our waking day.

Sleep is a wonderful vehicle,

To let it all drift away.

Use it,

Nurture it,

Feel it,

When your head it does hit the pillow.

Relax every bone in your body,

Just like a weeping willow.

Make all conditions right,

Before going to that place of repair.

This is nature's gift to rejuvenate,

From the core of your being to your hair.

Realize the possibilities,

And the benefits that you can reap.

Cherish that sanctuary called your bed,

And get to know your best friend,

Sleep.
