Metta, or Loving-Kindness meditation, is one of the most ancient and beloved of all contemplative practices. It works by deliberately cultivating warmth and compassion, first toward ourselves, then gently widening that circle outward to others and all beings. Through affirmation, visualization, and somatic awareness, we soften habitual judgment, open the heart, and nurture a quality of presence that is both tender and spacious. Over time, what begins as a practice becomes a way of moving through the world, more connected, more forgiving, more awake to the love that is always available to us all. It's here. We just have to tap into it and practice.
