Welcome to your daily Breath of Fire practice with me,
Fiona Emily.
Breath of Fire is a rapid,
Rhythmic,
Counting breath through the nose,
Powered by your navel,
Equal parts inhale,
Equal parts exhale.
Doing this pranayama three minutes a day can help purify the body and mind,
Oxygenate the blood,
And can completely shift your energy.
So let's get started.
Find a comfortable seat,
Cross-legged on the floor,
Or sitting tall in a chair.
Deep breath in,
And as you do that,
Lengthen your spine,
And as you exhale,
Soften your shoulders and your jaw.
Close your eyes,
Keeping your gaze up between your eyebrows at third eye point.
Bring your hands on your knees,
Palms facing up,
And Gyan Mudra.
Index finger and thumb together.
This is known as the seal of knowledge.
Deep breath in through the nose,
And begin.
Breath in,
Inhale fully through the nose,
Completely fill up,
And hold.
Squeeze the Mulbandha.
Feel the energy lift up,
Up,
Up,
From the base of the spine all the way up to the crown.
A golden light up the central channel.
Go ahead and release slowly through the mouth.
Fingertips touching the ground.
