This is Emmett.
This is the four winds prayer for opening up sacred space.
It's best performed standing so that you can change directions according to the prayer.
If you want to take the time to stand,
Now's a good time to pause.
Again,
Sort of standing position and take a deep breath.
Facing south.
To the winds of the south,
The great serpent,
Wrap your coils of light around us.
Teach us to shed the past away,
The way you shed your skin.
Teach us to walk softly on earth,
And teach us the way of beauty.
Facing west.
To the winds of the West,
The Mother Jaguar,
Protect our medicines,
Protect our space,
Teach us the way of peace,
Teach us to live impeccably,
And show us the way beyond death.
Facing north.
To the winds of the north,
Hummingbird,
Grandmothers and grandfathers,
Ancient ones,
Come and warm your hands by our fires.
We honor you who have come before us,
And we honor those who will come after us.
Teach us the way for our children's children.
Facing east.
To the winds of the east,
Great eagle,
Come to us from the place of the rising sun.
Keep us under your wing.
Show us the mountains we only dare to dream of the great Apus,
Asan Gate,
Salkante,
Wanalipa,
Mount Shasta.
Teach us to fly wing to wing with the great spirit.
Bowing down,
Feeling Mother Earth.
Mother Earth,
You hold us so gently and safely.
We've gathered here for the honoring of all of your children,
The stone people,
The plant people,
The four-legged,
The two-legged,
The creepy crawlers,
The finned ones,
The furry ones,
And the winged ones.
All of our relations.
Thank you for supporting us.
Facing upwards to the cosmos.
We thank Father Sun,
Grandmother Moon,
The Ancient Ones from up above,
The Star Nations,
The Great Spirit,
Those who are named by a thousand names,
And those who are the unnameable ones.
Thank you for bringing us together.
Thank you for being there for guidance.
And thank you for allowing us to sing this song of life so joyfully.
This is a place of non-judgment and non-projections.
This is a place without fear.
This is a place of bringing in the Divine Spirit we all possess.
This is a place to create and co-create with Spirit.
This is a place where we are now setting our future self into motion.
Our intentions will now become our reality.
We are becoming our future.
This is a safe space for transformation and revelation with One.
By opening up this sacred space,
We have now created our sanctuary for the creative work that is about to begin.
