Welcome if you've arrived at this practice.
Something in you is already settled enough to be here.
So this isn't about getting anywhere.
This is about staying.
About letting yourself.
Have the presence you've already found a little more fully.
Allow your body to be however it is.
And notice first.
What it's like.
To not need anything fixed right now.
And let that register for a moment.
This is rarer than we admit.
A moment with no urgency in it.
Somewhere in your body right now.
There's a place that feels okay.
Maybe more than okay.
Settled.
Warm.
Quiet.
Alive.
It might be small.
The centre of your chest.
Your hands.
The simple steadiness.
Of your breathing.
Allow your attention to find it.
And now.
This is the whole practice.
Just stay with it Let your attention rest there.
The way you'd sit with a friend by a fire.
We're not studying it.
We're just keeping it company and if the mind wanders.
That's okay,
Remind yourself.
That's what minds do.
And when you notice,
Come back to the okay place.
It will still be there.
Then we might let this feeling know quietly.
I notice you.
You are allowed to be here.
You're allowed to grow.
So much of life trains us to attend to what's wrong.
This.
Attending to what's well.
Is a practice too.
Maybe the more radical ones.
Let's take one more unhurried moment here.
Letting that okay-ness be as big.
Or as small.
As it actually is.
Without inflating or shrinking it.
And when you're ready,
Carry a little of this with you.
It's yours.
It was always yours.
