Hi there.
If you're joining me for this meditation,
Then it's likely that you may be struggling with self-doubt,
Self-value,
Just being able to love yourself even in the midst of self-improvement or healing.
So if that's you,
I invite you to take a few moments with me to settle in to your body.
Find a comfortable seat where your back can be straight,
Focusing on your connection with the earth.
If you're in a chair,
Planting your feet firmly into the earth,
Allowing the earth to hold you now.
And if you're sitting down on the ground,
Just allowing your body weight to be supported.
Let's take a few deep breaths here,
Breathing in through the nose,
Holding,
And releasing.
Let's take two more deep breaths,
In through the nose,
And release.
One more big breath through the nose,
And release.
Allow the shoulders to become heavy and slide down the back,
Allow the jaw to unclench,
And allow the muscles around the eyes to relax.
Many times,
We look to the past and the future for reference points of our daily lives.
We may spend a lot of time in the past,
Either admiring past versions of us,
Grieving past versions of us,
Or even feeling ashamed of versions of us that have existed in the past.
And for some,
We look to the future,
And we create goals and visions of a future us that we hope to manifest one day.
And for many of us,
We are in the stage where we are now doing the work.
Maybe you are working towards a credential or an achievement.
Maybe you are pouring into your health and hoping to change your physical image.
Whatever it is that you're working towards,
Or that you are trying to refine,
Know that it can be easy to get caught up in the version of what we aspire to be,
And sometimes that makes us feel like we're not enough in this present moment.
How many times do we tell ourselves,
When I can just get to this milestone,
I'll love myself more?
The truth is that you are who you are in every stage,
And every single version of you is necessary to walk the path that only you can follow.
Embrace every stage.
So I'd like you to put your hand on your chest.
Take another breath to ground,
Breathing in through the nose,
And out.
And repeat the following affirmations,
Either out loud or in your mind.
As I am right now,
I have so much love for who I am right now.
I am wonderful.
I am beautiful.
I am brilliant right now.
I am exactly where I need to be right now.
I am worthy of love right now.
And so it is.
