Hello and welcome to Coaston Haven.
In today's practice we are going to remind our body to soften and our minds to flow in these times of change.
I invite you to take yourself in a restful place,
Whether that be sitting or lying down.
Welcome yourself to a full exhale and release whatever you think hangs with you throughout your day today.
Feel the ground beneath you,
Feel the warmth and the strength holding you,
Feel free to move,
Wiggle your toes,
Roll your shoulders,
Anything to settle your body and put aside anything you've held with you today.
When you're ready,
I invite you to lower your gaze,
Or if you're comfortable,
Relax and close your eyes.
Imagine yourself resting in a safe and quiet place,
Feel the surface beneath you,
Become a field of grass,
Feel the open air and the breeze pass over your body,
This world is yours and the time moves at your pace.
In this world there is no rush,
In the distance you see a small cocoon nearby resting on a leaf,
Inside the cocoon a butterfly is waiting.
Like the butterfly,
Time has its own natural process of unfolding,
The butterfly does not ask when it is ready,
Everything it needs is already there.
Feel how this mirrors your own state right now,
In this moment you are allowed to be who you are,
Where you are,
Why you are,
You are allowed to pause in this time of change.
With each exhale,
Feel your body release even more,
With each breath in,
Feel the glow of the positive opportunities that abound for your way.
With each exhale,
You are breathing yourself further into your new reality,
As you release everything you have been holding,
You notice the cocoon is softly opening,
Just like the butterfly inside the cocoon,
Your inner knowing is guided from within.
In the sky above you,
The sun radiates down and light touches the cocoon opening and the butterfly feels the warmth,
Feel that warmth as the light touches you,
The butterfly moves through inner knowing,
Just like your true self,
The butterfly understands something very simple,
Strength does not come from force,
Strength comes from allowing as the air expands over you,
Feel your own wings,
As your breath expands,
Your chest and shoulders,
Like yourself the butterfly has always known what truly makes them happy,
Flying is the butterflies nature,
Just like knowing is yours,
Nothing holds a butterfly and it never runs from something,
Just being it's true self in each moment,
Embracing it's place in the air,
The butterfly trusts the timing of it's wings and it's own balance,
Moving through life with love and courage,
Like the butterfly you only need to allow what is already inside you to unfold,
Rest here for a few moments,
Your breath soft,
Feel that support moving through your body,
That safety in the structure of your bones and the fluidity of the wings and your breath flowing through,
Like the cocoon and like the butterfly,
You hold power,
Ease,
Strength and stillness,
Wherever life takes you next,
See if you can carry a little bit of this calm with you,
One breath at a time,
We'll see you next time.
