Welcome to this guided meditation to ease any chronic pain or discomfort you might be experiencing.
My name is Ashley and together we will explore how the mind and body can begin to focus on comfort and relaxation,
And allow anything else to loosen and flow away.
Take a moment now to switch off your phone and adjust your body in any way that it needs to get as comfortable as possible as you come into stillness.
Closing your eyes and take a few deep,
Calming breaths.
Inhaling deeply through your nose and exhaling slowly through your mouth.
Letting any tension melt away with each breath.
And as you continue to breathe deeply,
Allow your body to relax deeper and deeper.
Your breath is just like waves coming in and out of the sea.
They can come in and they can go out,
And each wave,
Just like each breath,
Can follow the one after it.
Now bring your awareness now to the place in your body where you are experiencing discomfort or pain,
And as you do so,
Just imagine now this area as a source of tension,
Like a tight knot,
And visualize a warm,
Soothing light above this area.
This light is soft and gentle,
And it radiates a healing energy.
As it begins to shine down on the painful area,
Feel it becoming warmer and more relaxed with each passing moment.
And as you relax even deeper,
I'd like you to repeat a positive affirmation silently inside.
I begin to notice more and more comfort in my body.
My body is healing.
I am in control.
Repeat this affirmation two times,
And really simmer in its truth.
With each and every word you repeat,
You go deeper into relaxation.
Feel your muscles becoming loose and limp,
Like a bundle of soft,
Warm threads.
Now imagine a beautiful garden,
And picture yourself there.
It's a beautiful,
Warm day,
The sun is shining,
There's a warm,
Gentle breeze,
And you're standing beside a tranquil,
Clear pool of water.
As you step into the pool,
You feel the cool,
Healing waters enveloping your body.
Imagine the pain and discomfort being carried away by the water,
Replaced by a soothing sensation.
This gentle,
Clear pool represents your body's natural healing ability.
Take a deep breath in and feel the healing energy flowing through you.
Imagine it traveling to the areas of pain,
Soothing,
Cleansing,
Healing,
And repairing.
With each breath,
You're feeling better and better,
Noticing more and more comfort in your body than ever before.
Now notice a vibrant,
Beautiful flower growing beside the pool.
This flower represents your healing and strength.
Imagine it growing stronger and more vibrant with each passing moment.
And as you are.
As this flower flourishes,
So does your sense of well-being and comfort.
Again,
Repeating the positive affirmation,
I am loving awareness.
I experience profound comfort in my body.
My body is healing.
I am in control.
Feel the truth of these words sinking deeply into your subconscious,
Creating a profound sense of relief and well-being.
In a moment,
You will be opening your eyes and when you do,
You will stretch and smile and feel completely rejuvenated.
But those eyes will only open when all of the healing and cleansing has taken root.
You will carry this sense of comfort and healing with you throughout your day.
