Welcome to the healing pause.
This is a time for you to reconnect with what your body truly needs.
Hi,
I'm Angela Joy Johnson from The Joy Hut and this is your time to take now for a five minute meditation to take a pause and reconnect.
So let's begin by finding a comfortable position whether you're sitting or laying down.
Just allow your eyes to gently close and bring your awareness now to your breath.
There's no need to change your breath,
Just notice it.
Inhaling and exhaling.
Just let your shoulders soften,
Let your jaw unclench and just let yourself arrive.
And I want you to bring your attention gently down into your body now.
Notice where you feel some tension or tiredness or maybe even pain.
And instead of pushing it away or trying to ignore it,
I want you to notice it without any judgment.
Just breathing into it.
What if your body is not the enemy?
What if it's your messenger?
I wonder,
What is this trying to tell you?
Is it trying to tell you something right now?
This tension or tiredness or even pain?
What is it trying to tell you?
And if you get an answer straight away,
Then great.
But if you don't get any answer,
That's okay too.
Just by posing the question will allow the space for things to come up.
And you might not get them now straight away or even tonight as you sleep.
But when you do get them,
All that information that surfaces,
You'll recognize that it's your body trying to tell you something.
Maybe it's been trying to tell you for some time now.
So it's time to pay attention and just ask the right questions.
So now I want you to just gently ask yourself,
Where is my energy going today?
Am I pouring it into proving myself or people pleasing?
Or am I trying to push through and everything feels forced?
Or am I allowing myself to receive?
Just pause and replenish right now.
This is the time to help you feel.
There's no wrong answer.
Just awareness.
Just breath.
Inhale and exhale.
Now I want you to imagine that you're standing at a crossroad.
One path leads down the old way of perhaps overthinking,
Overdoing,
Overriding your own needs.
And the other path leads to peace and presence and healing,
Transformation.
You don't have to know exactly how to walk this path yet.
But right now,
It's time to choose it.
Right here,
Right now.
As you begin to walk down the path of peace,
Saying silently to yourself now,
I give myself permission to slow down.
I trust my body's wisdom.
I choose aligned action over hustle.
I am worthy of healing that lasts.
And just let these words settle into your cells like sunlight through your skin.
You may even want to imagine the sunlight on the path and feeling that warmth penetrating the skin.
Letting those words resonate in all of the cells of your body.
And knowing that it's safe for you to walk this path of peace.
Noticing how your body feels as you walk the path.
Knowing that you've chosen this today.
You've taken the time to create a space for a healing pause.
And just feel a moment of gratitude for that decision that you've made.
Now I want you to just let that image go.
And begin to bring your awareness back to the space around you.
Remembering the room that you're in.
And just as you wiggle your fingers and your toes,
Taking one last deep nourishing breath in.
And out.
Whenever you're ready,
Gently opening your eyes now.
Carrying this calm awareness with you.
Your healing begins not by doing more,
But by listening.
