Welcome to your Smiling Mind Meditation.
This is one of my favourite meditations that you can do quite quickly to be in a state of more presence,
Joy,
Happiness,
And ease.
You're going to come to a seated position,
Or a lying down position.
Something that feels comfortable.
And when you're ready,
Go ahead and start to find your breath with me.
Inhaling through your nose,
And exhaling through your nose.
As you continue to breathe in this way,
Allow yourself to relax into the position you've chosen to be in.
Let your face soften,
Your belly to relax,
Your pelvic floor to drop.
Taking easy breaths that start to get longer.
As you exhale,
See if you can breathe out for just a little bit longer.
Lengthening your breath.
Imagine a smile.
You might picture yourself or somebody you love smiling.
You could even smile yourself physically,
Allowing the corners of your mouth to reach up.
And as you either do this smile or imagine this smile,
Just notice how you feel.
Now imagine that your body is smiling.
I like to do this by imagining that my entire head is smiling.
It can be helpful to even draw a smile in your mind from your left ear all the way to your right ear.
Filling your whole head with this smile.
Imagine that your brain,
Your mind,
Is smiling with you.
And just feel this as you breathe.
You can imagine that your belly is smiling,
That your throat is smiling.
Your heart is smiling,
Your genitals are smiling,
Your legs are smiling.
Let's stay with this for a few more moments.
When you are ready,
You're going to come back into the present moment.
You'll slowly start to move your body.
You'll slowly start to open your eyes.
You might even crack a little smile with me.
You can return to this meditation any time.
It gets to be simple,
It gets to be easy.
It gets to be easy.
