Welcome,
My name is Aniya Crow and today I will take you through a guided visualization meditation.
Allow yourself to find your most comfortable position.
Giving the body time to fidget and wiggle until you find that place of ease.
And as your body settles into this place of comfort,
Begin to notice your breath,
Allowing it to flow naturally.
As you continue to notice your breath,
It might begin to change,
To slow down,
And feel easier to take a long,
Full,
Deep breath.
From here,
Begin to notice external stimuli that comes into your awareness.
Sights,
Sounds,
Smells,
Your sensation of touch,
Observing,
Noticing,
Allowing.
Whatever comes into your awareness,
Let it just be.
Maybe you notice the body's response to this external stimuli,
Or where the mind may wander off to.
Allow whatever comes into your awareness to be part of your practice.
Notice and then return to the sound of my voice,
Gently guided on this journey ahead.
And now we begin.
Let's go for a walk.
When you open the door to your house,
You step out into an autumn forest.
All around you are leaves of vibrant yellow,
Orange,
And red.
The whole world appears to have a golden glow as you begin your walk under the canopy of trees.
Beneath your feet,
You hear the gentle crunching of leaves.
Overhead,
You hear the birds that haven't yet flown south for winter.
All around you,
You feel a gentle breeze bringing in the cooler air,
Though the sun still feels warm on your face as it shines through the trees.
You feel the gentle breeze as it shines between the cracks of leaves and branches.
As you continue walking along the path,
You begin to notice the smell of a campfire,
A smell that instantly brings to mind happy memories.
You notice that the sights,
Sounds,
And smells have given you a sense of peace and contentment.
You allow yourself to take your time walking slowly,
Appreciating the beauty all around you.
Your body feels softer,
Lighter,
Moving with ease and joy as you continue on.
Making your way further into the forest,
You begin to hear the sounds of flowing water,
And just coming into view is a stream that begins to wind its way next to the path.
The stream and the path move alongside one another like old friends.
Up ahead,
You see the two intersect.
Where the stream begins to widen,
The path becomes a short bridge,
Allowing you to cross and carry on.
The stream and the path part ways,
The sound of water whispering goodbye behind you.
Just as you are ready to sit and take a break from your walk,
You happen upon a small wooden cabin with beautiful long full windows along the front.
At the entrance is a sign that says come in and take rest.
You make your way inside where a warm fire burns in the fireplace.
In front of the fire is the most cozy seating area with soft blankets and pillows strewn about.
Next to that is a small table with your favorite snack and a warm beverage.
You sit and eat and sip slowly,
Savoring it all.
As you take the last sip,
You see a message engraved on the bottom of the cup,
A message just for you.
Reclaim your gift.
It is still within you.
With this message now planted in your heart like a seed,
You lie down and take rest.
As you rest,
The seed receives the nurture it needs to grow.
Reclaim your gift.
It is still within you.
As you awake,
This message is warmly rooted in your heart and you are ready to reclaim the gift that is still within you.
Allow your body to once more begin to fidget and wiggle,
Inviting small movement back in.
And as you begin once more to move through your day,
Your day,
Your week,
And in your life,
You remember this message.
Reclaim your gift.
It is still within you.
And so it is.
