This is lesson three of moving meditation.
Once you've practiced lessons one and two,
You'll be ready to begin Lesson 3.
In this lesson,
We'll practice the complete 12-step sequence continuously.
We'll practice it four times.
Moving to the right,
So we're going to be leading with our right.
As you face the screen,
Simply mirror what you see.
As we begin to move through the sequence.
You'll start to pivot away from the screen.
Just listen for my verbal cues.
To tell you which direction you're moving in.
By the time the sequence is done,
All four times to the right.
You will have traced a complete square.
Be sure you've got plenty of room around you.
That you're wearing comfortable clothing and secure footwear.
And if you're ready.
Let's begin lesson three.
Step forward,
Right.
Step out right.
The event.
Right.
Step forward,
Right.
Step out right.
Pivot.
Right.
Step forward right.
Step out,
Right.
The event.
Right.
Step forward,
Right.
Step out right Pivot.
Right.
Now find a comfortable seated position.
Let your mind and your body absorb the practice.
Let your mind be drawn to those moments that you were unsure of.
And mentally rehearse those transitions.
Now let's practice again,
This time leading with the left.
I will again cue you transitions.
So as you pivot away from the screen,
Listen for my voice.
Allow my verbal cues to guide you.
While remaining focused on the physical movement.
Step forward,
Left.
Step out,
Left.
Pivot.
Left.
Step forward,
Left.
Step out,
Left.
Pivot.
Left.
Step forward,
Left.
Step out,
Left.
Pivot.
Left.
Step forward,
Left.
Step out,
Left.
Pivot.
Left.
Again,
Find a comfortable seated position and let your mind and your body settle.
For this final practice,
Recall the words of St.
Paul's letter to the Corinthians.
For now.
We see through a glass darkly.
But then.
Face to face.
Now I know in part.
But then shall I know?
Even as also.
I am known.
There might be a word or phrase that stands out.
Hold your attention there as you move.
Listening for the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
Finally.
Find a comfortable seated position,
Allowing your mind and your body to settle.
Return to these first three lessons as often as possible.
The more familiar you become with these transitions,
The easier it will be to listen for the Holy Spirit's guidance as you move.
In Lesson 4,
I'll introduce an intention.
We'll practice the 12-step sequence flowing from right and left.
And close with a time of reflection.
I look forward to seeing you for Lesson 4.
