Moving Prayer is a Christ-centered mindful movement practice that helps you become more present in your body while preparing your mind for prayer. In this second audio lesson, you’ll learn and practice the final four steps of the repeating 12-step movement sequence. Detailed verbal guidance, repetition, and counting cues help develop coordination, body awareness, mental focus, and confidence with movement that changes your facing direction and crosses the body’s midline. Becoming familiar with these final four steps prepares you to practice the complete sequence in Lesson Three with greater ease and prayerful attention. Original organ music provided by Dr. Jim McFarland, Director of Music Ministries and Organist at Saint Paul United Methodist Church. Keywords: moving prayer, Christian meditation, embodied prayer, mindful movement, spiritual grounding, body awareness, coordination, active aging, midline movement, mind-body connection.
