The guide spent energy out of your body through four routes; creating a sense of deep physical relaxation. This physical relaxation creates a calm and quiet mind, reinforced with a mantra. It is often used as a 'Qìgōng nap' after lunch and before afternoon activities, allowing participants to fall asleep faster, sleep deeper, and wake rejuvenated.

Bring yourself to a relaxed,

Comfortable position.

Now that you are comfortable,

Allow a feeling of peacefulness to descend over you.

A pleasant,

Enjoyable sensation of being safe,

Comfortable and at ease.

Take a breath in and hold,

And as you exhale,

Release from your mind all the thoughts that you have of the past,

As the past no longer exists.

Take another breath in and hold,

And as you exhale,

Release from your mind all the thoughts that you have of the future,

As the future is yet to exist.

Bring your mind to this moment in time,

The only moment that truly exists.

In this moment,

You are aware only of the crown of your head.

Relax the crown of your head,

And guide the spenchee out of your middle fingers.

Relax the sides of your head.

Relax your ears.

Relax the sides of your neck.

Relax your shoulders.

Relax your upper arms.

Relax your elbows.

Relax your forearms.

Relax your wrists.

Relax your hands.

Relax your fingers.

Concentrate on your middle fingers,

And allow the spenchee to be released from them.

Count quietly to nine.

One.

Two.

Three.

Four.

Five.

Six.

Seven.

Eight.

Nine.

Bring your attention now to the crown of your head.

Relax the crown of your head,

And guide the spenchee out of your big toes.

Relax your forehead.

Relax your eyebrows.

Relax your chin.

Relax your eyebrows.

Relax your upper eyelids.

Relax your eyeballs.

Relax your lower eyelids.

Relax the bridge of your nose.

Relax the tip of your nose.

Relax your cheeks.

Relax your upper lip.

Relax your teeth.

Relax your tongue.

Relax your jaw.

Relax your lower lip.

Relax your chin.

Relax the front of your neck.

Relax your chest.

Relax your upper abdomen.

Relax your lower abdomen.

Relax your hips.

Relax the front of your thighs.

Relax your kneecaps.

Relax the front of your lower legs.

Relax your ankles.

Relax the top of your feet.

Relax your toes.

Concentrate on your feet.

Concentrate on your big toes,

Allowing the spenchee to be released from them.

Relax your spleen.

Relax your intestines.

Relax your kidneys.

Relax your urinary bladder.

Relax the inner part of your thighs.

Relax the inner part of your knees.

Allowing the spenchee to be released from them.
