Your nervous system is always asking one question: am I safe? Not your conscious mind - your body. Your vagus nerve. The ancient biological system that scans the environment continuously, below conscious awareness, deciding whether to open into connection and calm or contract into defence and shutdown. For many people - especially those living with chronic stress, anxiety, or trauma the answer the nervous system keeps arriving at is no. This soundscape was composed using the principles of polyvagal theory to provide the nervous system with auditory signal it uses to assess safety. A warm feminine vocal hum in the mid-frequency range activates the ventral vagal pathway directly. A soft cello drone is felt in the chest where the vagus nerve runs. Ideal for trauma recovery, chronic anxiety, nervous system dysregulation, hypervigilance, PTSD support, burnout, and anyone whose body hasn’t fully relaxed in longer than they can remember.
