Golden Chakra Meditation is a guided meditation created and spoken by Vimal Gabrielsen, with music from Praful. It’s a soft yin practice, which you do in sitting position. Starting at the root chakra, you move slowly upwards in intervals and at the end downwards again. Around each chakra you do a grinding movement. It is also a beautiful mindfulness exercise.

Namaste.

The intention of this exercise is to bring you into a state of meditation.

It's a simple practice,

But strong if you listen carefully to your inner wisdom.

There is no need to push yourself while you're doing this,

Just let it happen and stay present.

You may need a blanket and a cushion when you lie down at the end of this practice.

Sit comfortably,

But straight either on a chair or on a carpet with your legs folded.

If sitting on the ground,

I recommend not to sit on a big pillow.

Your hands are resting on your knees.

Keep your back straight and stretch your spine slightly as if you were pulled up towards the sky by an invisible string on top of your head.

Now bring your attention to the root chakra,

The muladhara,

Which is located at the base of your spine,

Between your sacrum and your genital.

Then you start drawing in energy from the earth.

With every breath,

You open yourself and allow the root chakra to receive and be filled with this energy.

As a woman,

I visualize that my genital,

My yoni,

Is opening and expanding.

Remember to draw in energy with each breath.

Now visualize your chakra as a golden ball and you can squeeze your buttocks a little bit so you don't get any pain in the back.

Let your feet fall naturally to the sides.

Pull your shoulder blades slightly towards each other and move your arms out so they form a straight line and your body forms a cross,

Palms facing upwards.

If you don't feel comfortable lying in this position,

You may want to put cushions under your knees.

When you lie in this cross position,

You open yourself to receiving.

You say to the universe or to existence,

I am here,

I am willing to receive everything.

Watch as your breath is gently moving in and out.

During the following musical piece,

I invite you to stay lying,

Be present and watch everything that's happening inside you.

May peace always be with you.
