Good morning.

It's Victoria Loveland Cohen here and thank you for joining me in the practice of gratitude.

And in so doing,

You're creating an amazing day for yourself with a power of gratitude.

Beginning your day with a practice of gratitude creates a solid foundation for our experience of joy.

It also helps us to see opportunities that we might otherwise miss and it enhances all of our relationships.

So let's begin.

Take a deep breath with me and allow that breath to feel your lungs and revitalize your body.

Allow yourself to feel gratitude for your breath,

That you can breathe freely.

Feel grateful that your body revitalizes itself with the breath in every moment without your conscious effort.

Continue breathing deeply and become aware that the carbon dioxide in the breath that you release is received by the plants and the trees around you that they need for their life,

For their growth.

And in exchange,

They produce life-giving oxygen for you.

You can feel gratitude for this interconnection of life and to know that you are an integral part of the whole.

Now begin to scan your body and while there may be aches or pains in certain areas,

Places that don't work as you like it to,

There are still hundreds and hundreds of other places in your body that do work well.

In fact,

The vast majority of your body is working perfectly all without your conscious effort.

Open to gratitude for your body,

For the millions of parts of your body that are in perfect order.

You may want to stretch a little bit or shake your body a little bit to connect with that idea as you express gratitude for the flow of life energy throughout.

Now take a moment and look at the space around you.

Whether you live in an apartment,

A simple house,

Or a grand mansion,

Look around at your living space and open to feel grateful for that space.

How it supports your needs and how maybe it's become a reflection of what you enjoy.

Maybe you notice art on the walls or photographs of people you love on the walls and it brings a smile to your face.

What other objects in your home can you be grateful for?

Now take a look outside your window and see if there's a tree or several trees,

Some flowers maybe,

Grass,

Certainly the sky.

Feel gratitude,

Fill your heart for the life all around you.

Can you hear birds singing?

Feel grateful for each of those birds and their unique songs,

Each one different from the other.

What else can you see or hear that you can be grateful for?

Allow that gratitude to lead you to consider this amazing planet on which you live.

How blessed we are to live on this beautiful one in a billion blue green marble of a planet that supports us all.

Now bring to mind people in your life that you love.

Friends,

Family members,

People who love you,

People that you enjoy spending time with.

Think of each one and let the gratitude for those relationships fill your entire being.

Breathe in that gratitude.

And do you have work or projects that you enjoy that you find fulfilling?

Allow yourself to feel gratitude rising within you for your work or maybe volunteer opportunities that help you feel connected with others or projects that exercise your creativity.

What is it you do in the world that helps you to feel fulfilled and satisfied,

That gives you some joy?

Allow yourself to feel grateful for each of those.

Allow yourself to feel grateful that you can do this work or you can volunteer or that you are creative.

Think about your relative prosperity.

Do you have a roof over your head,

Food in your refrigerator,

Maybe some extra leftover to enjoy a special treat?

Feel grateful for all of it.

What we appreciate,

Appreciates.

As we express gratitude for the prosperity that we have now,

We're generating an energy that attracts more into our life.

Now,

Bring to mind something in particular that you're looking forward to doing today.

It could be just a small thing that gives you joy or perhaps it's a new opportunity that you're stepping into today,

A new opportunity to grow,

To expand your sense of yourself.

Maybe it's something that you are not looking forward to,

But with a different perspective,

One of gratitude,

You will absolutely find the blessing in it.

Feel the gratitude you have been expressing throughout this practice grow and expand within you.

Feel it vibrating within every cell of your being.

Feel that energy of joy and gratitude begin to radiate out from you into your life.

You have just generated a positive,

Expansive energy that will infuse every situation you encounter today.

The more you do this simple gratitude practice,

The more you will walk through your life with ease and joy,

And more of what brings you joy will manifest for you.

Now,

Go enjoy today.
