Sometimes we just need that permission of another voice telling us it's okay to lie down and take a small amount of time for yourself.
Today I would like you to find a comfortable spot in your home,
Preferably lying down with some cozy blankets,
Supporting your neck with a pillow.
Make sure your body temperature is comfortable.
Make sure there are no sounds.
No distractions.
And just let yourself melt into your body.
Feel the body connecting to the earth,
To the bed.
Allow the cozy energy to start to take over.
Any pressure that you might feel in your head.
See if you can release the tension.
Letting your eyes become heavy.
Sinking deeper and deeper.
Allowing your jaw to fall open.
Allowing the tongue to curl.
And just feel the shoulders and the upper back melting deep into the mattress.
Feel your belly rise and your belly fall.
Sinking deeper and deeper.
You are safe in this moment.
No one needs anything from you.
The world will continue moving and doing all of its things,
But for now,
For you,
Deep rest.
Grant yourself permission to just step away and repeat this mantra in your mind.
Nothing is needed of me right now.
I am okay to lie here and rest.
Just start to hear your breath moving in and out of your body.
Sinking deeper and deeper.
Sometimes when we move through life,
We start to think,
If I accomplish,
If I succeed,
If I try,
Then I am valuable.
But if you rest,
If you tune in,
And if you restore your energy,
It may seem like nothing is happening.
But you are restoring your power tenfold.
Movements can become repetitive.
They can become just what we do.
Until one day,
So many years later,
We realize what have we been doing.
And we realize we are fatigued and exhausted.
Taking these times where you step away,
And you allow the quiet to enter deep into your subconscious.
Deep into your mind.
The stillness to enter into your body.
You gain insight,
Perspective,
Wisdom.
You separate yourself from the doings and the ongoings of the pattern.
And you allow light to be shed in the mysterious corners of the mind.
Not only in the mind,
But in your heart.
You are safe in this moment.
Go ahead and take a deep breath all the way in,
And just sigh it all the way out.
It's okay if you become a little out of focus.
Hearing my voice as if it is off in the distance.
It's okay if your body starts to feel tired.
And if you need to sleep.
Let yourself become tired.
Allow yourself time to rest.
Taking one final deep breath all the way in.
And big sigh all the way out.
Just moving into listening to the sounds of the music.
