Hi friend.
Maybe you know this feeling.
No matter how much you do,
Somehow it still doesn't feel like enough.
You could have done more,
Been more productive.
Handled something better looked different?
Said the right thing.
Been a better parent,
Better partner,
A better friend.
Maybe you look around and wonder why everyone else seems to have figured out something you haven't.
And before you know it,
You're measuring yourself again.
Against someone else.
Against where you thought you'd be by now.
Or maybe against some imaginary version of yourself who finally has it all together.
But here's the thing about that version of you.
The finish line keeps moving.
You accomplish one thing and there's another You fix one thing and suddenly notice something else You finally get somewhere you thought would make you feel good enough.
And somehow,
That little voice follows you there.
Not yet.
Do more.
Be better.
It's exhausting,
Isn't it?
Always feeling like you're one improvement away from finally being okay with yourself.
So today.
.
.
We're not going to try to fix you.
We're not going to try to analyze every reason you feel this way.
And I'm not going to ask you to repeat a bunch of words you don't believe.
We're simply going to notice.
To breathe and maybe create a little space between who you are and that voice that keeps telling you who you should be.
So find a comfortable position.
Let your hands rest wherever they naturally fall.
Allow your shoulders to soften.
Your jaw to unclench.
And your eyes to gently close You don't even have to change your breathing yet.
Just notice it.
But inhale.
The exhale.
A small pause between the two.
Notice the support underneath your body.
The chair.
The bag.
The floor whatever is holding you right now let it You don't have to earn its support.
It's simply there,
Holding you.
Now take a slow breath in.
And gently let it go.
Again,
Breathing in.
Breathing out.
And as you settle here,
Notice if that familiar not enough voice is around today You don't have to argue with it.
You don't have to force the thoughts away.
Just noticed.
If you notice the thoughts.
Just come back to your breath.
Breathing in and.
.
.
Letting it go.
Sometimes we've heard a thought so many times we stop recognizing it as a thought and start sounding like the truth.
But instead of following that thought today See if you can simply notice it.
Say to yourself,
I'm noticing the thoughts.
You are the one noticing the thought.
You are not the thought itself.
Feel the difference.
Let it be there without letting it decide who you are and come back to your breath.
For these next few moments.
There is nowhere else you need to be.
Nothing you need to accomplish.
Nothing you need to prove or need to be perfect at.
Just stay with your breath and in this moment.
We measure ourselves by what we've accomplished.
How productive we are.
What our bodies look like how much money we make.
Maybe even how our relationships are going,
How our children are doing.
And how people approve of us.
And sometimes without even realizing it,
We turn all of those things into evidence.
Evidence that we're doing okay or evidence that we're somehow falling short.
But what if?
What if your worth isn't waiting at the end of some finish line?
What if becoming more of yourself?
Didn't require rejecting the person you already are.
I invite you to take a slow breath in.
There we go.

There is not one more thing that you need to do in order to be good enough for your own life Let that sit for a moment Not one more thing.
Maybe you don't completely believe that yet and that's okay You don't have to.
Just allow yourself to consider what it might feel like to stop proving,
Even for a moment.
Maybe there are things you want to change.
Dreams you haven't reached yet Parts of yourself you're still getting to know None of that means you're failing.
And means your living.
You can still have goals Do you still want more for your life?
You can still grow and change But growth doesn't have to come from constantly believing you're not enough.
You're allowed to grow from kindness to kindness.
And maybe,
My friend,
That's the practice.
Not waiting until you become some future version of yourself to finally offer yourself compassion So maybe next time that familiar voice appears.
Don't fight it.
You don't have anything to prove.
You can simply notice.
There's that old story again.
And breathe.
Take another slow breath in.
Gently let it go.
Feeling the support underneath your body.
Still holding you right here and before you open your eyes.
I want you to take this with you.
You have nothing to prove.
You don't have to solve yourself today You can want more for yourself.
Without believing,
You need to become more worthy of your own life.
You can grow without rejection.
You can change without criticizing yourself.
And you can become more of who you are while learning to be kinder to the person you already are
