This mediation is intended to bring you into a deep state of relaxation in order to feel rejuvenated and counter the effects of constant stress on the body. When we are under constant stress, our bodies are flooded with cortisol and adrenaline. The long-term effect of this is exhaustion. Research has shown that twenty minutes of deep meditation can feel like 2 hours of sleep! Doing this deep relaxation meditation regularly can work to counter the effects of stress on our physical, emotional, and energetic bodies. This is one of my favorite meditations to do at the end of the workday. It will leave you feeling energized, rejuvenated, and ready to enjoy the rest of your day.
