Let's begin with a general practice that we can lean to that helps us go from being where we were to being where we are.

This is a practice rooted in Psalm 46 10 which reads,

Be still and know that I am God.

If you're able to and feel comfortable doing so,

I invite you to close your eyes.

If you prefer to keep them open then gently let your gaze fall on something in the room that isn't moving.

Allow yourself to settle into the space as we begin to be still.

And now bringing your attention to your breath,

Imagine that you are breathing into your heart space.

So on this next inhale,

Breathe deep into your heart space.

And it is here that you are invited to pay attention to the emotions that you are feeling.

And now gently moving from our heart space,

On our next inhale we imagine that this breath is going directly to our mind and on the exhale our mind drops into our heart space.

So breathe into your mind and let your mind drop into your heart space on your exhale.

And it is here that I invite you to pay attention to the thoughts that you're thinking at this moment.

And gently moving on from our mind,

I invite you to breathe into your body.

So on your next inhale,

Imagine that this breath is filling every cell of your body.

And on the exhale,

It is here that you pay attention to how you are physically feeling wherever you may be.

If you notice any areas of tension or dis-ease,

Then use your breath as a tool to breathe into those spaces and release that tension.

And now I invite you to repeat after me.

Be still and know.

That I am God.

Be still and know that I am.

Be still and know.

Be still.

Be.

Rest in this moment for as long as you feel comfortable.

And when you're ready,

Return to the room by opening your eyes.
