
5 Minute Coherent Breathing Meditation With Drums

Take 5 minutes for guided coherent breathing to the beat of a drum. It's a basic breathing technique that was recently cited as “the perfect breath” in James Nestor’s bestselling book called “Breath: The New Science of a Lost Art.” This breathing technique is also called resonant breathing. Practicing coherent breathing helps reduce stress, depression, and anxiety. Breathe 5.5 seconds in through your nose and 5.5 seconds out through your nose. It should feel like a circular wave of gentle breath.
