Tryambakam Mantra

Om Tryambakam yajamahe Sugandhim pushtivardhanam Urvarukamiva bandhanan Mrityor mukshiya maamritat Om Shanti, Shanti, Shanti This mantra is also known as the Rudra Mantra or Tryambakam Mantra. It is included in the oldest of the Vedas, the Rigveda, and also in the Yajurveda and the Atharvaveda. Even though this mantra is short, the meaning is profound and thought-provoking. It is sometimes varied and interpreted slightly differently in different places because of the layers and levels of the mantra. This doesn’t matter because the sound of mantras is more important than the meaning.
