Hello,

And welcome to this visualization on manifesting your intentions.

My hope is that you use the tools in this practice to manifest the day and the life that you want.

Take this moment to center yourself.

Find a comfortable position where you won't be disturbed.

Take a deep breath in,

And as you exhale,

Gently close your eyes,

Allowing your body to relax and sink into the surface beneath you.

Take a few settling breaths here.

Now,

Imagine that it's July,

The height of the summer,

And you're at a cottage nestled into a forest on an expansive lake.

You wake up after a perfect night's rest.

With no alarm,

You've slept in as long as your body needed.

But still,

You stay in your bed a while longer because it's so cozy,

And there's nothing you need to do and nowhere you need to go.

You don't know what time it is,

But it doesn't matter.

The entire day is stretching ahead of you like an open country road as you begin to stretch your body and wake up your mind.

Imagine yourself lying there without a care in the world and no place to go.

All you need to do is be in the stillness of the morning.

You make circles with your ankles and you wiggle your toes.

Then,

You give your arms and your legs a big stretch and fan your fingers out wide while you rock your head from side to side on your pillow to wake up your neck.

Outside,

The birds are singing,

Robins,

Sparrows,

And the whistle and trill of the cardinal.

The sun casts shadows across your bedroom wall and you can faintly hear the whirring of a boat's motor as it passes by on the lake.

You slowly sit up and take a minute more to enjoy the beginning of your day before making your way out of bed.

The floor is still cool under your feet,

But you don't worry about slippers.

It's time for bare feet and toes.

In the kitchen,

You get a pot of coffee started and open the front door,

Letting the morning air flood through the screen.

There's not a breath of wind this morning.

It's entirely calm and the sky is a brilliant blue.

Today is going to be a perfect day.

In the background,

The coffee drips into the pot and the smell of the fresh grounds wafts towards you.

You take a deep breath in,

Thinking how coffee always smells even better than it tastes.

You close your eyes and just breathe.

No rush,

No hurry.

You inhale the moment and your intentions for the day.

Intentions to let the day take you wherever it wants to go.

Intentions to listen,

Really listen.

And intentions to be,

To be still,

To be present,

To be mindful.

The coffee maker sputters and hisses its last few drops and you go to the cupboard,

Take out your favourite mug and fill it to the brim.

Then you grab your book,

The one that you couldn't put down last night,

But eventually had to when slumber took over your sun-soaked mind.

And you head out through the creaky screen door and onto the deck.

You pause looking out towards the lake.

Could life be any better than this?

The silence,

The view,

The stillness.

You stand motionless and let it flood all of your senses.

You take a deep breath in,

As deep as your breath will take you.

And then you fully exhale any worry,

Any stress,

Any thought of what came before this moment and what will come after.

This place,

This moment,

This morning exists only to be.

There is only this moment,

This feeling,

This day.

You slip on the sandals you left out last night and walk down from the deck across the soft carpet of grass and down the stairs that meet the shoreline and dock.

You stop on the bottom step and sit down,

Setting your book beside you.

Looking past the length of the dock and out across the open lake,

You take that first precious sip of coffee.

Nothing is like that first sip of coffee.

Across the lake,

The red barn on the hill is illuminated by the sunshine and you wonder what they are doing this morning.

Are they out tending to the horses or are they sitting on the front porch enjoying their first cup of coffee just like you while they gaze across the lake at the row of sleepy cottages lining the shore?

Take in this view and breathe.

Just breathe.

Imagine yourself sitting on this step at the edge of this glass-like lake,

Sipping your coffee,

Staring into the distance,

Hearing the waves gently lap up over the polished stones at the water's edge.

What are you thinking?

What are your intentions for the day?

How do you feel in this moment?

Imagine this perfect day spread out ahead of you.

A day when you can do anything,

Be anything,

Achieve anything.

What will it be?

When you imagine yourself as the sun is setting on this day,

How will you feel?

What will you have achieved?

What will you have left behind because it no longer served you?

What will you have embraced with every cell of your being because it made you feel fully alive?

Manifest it.

Soak it into every pore.

Make it so real in your imagination that you can feel it,

Hear it,

Taste it,

Touch it,

Believe it.

Taking a deep breath here and letting it go.

The human mind is so incredible.

We each have the ability to pause at any time during the day and transport ourselves through our imagination to a different place and time.

Imagine sitting at an outdoor cafe in Paris,

Even if you've never been there.

Or maybe Iceland.

Can you feel the cold and hear the snow crunching beneath your feet as you watch the Northern Lights dance?

Now take your feet out of those boots and squish the white sand between your toes at the turquoise water's edge in Greece.

Or believe that you are viewing a deep aquamarine iceberg off the northern coast of Newfoundland.

Or looking across the still lake at the red barn on the hill that is illuminated by the sunshine.

Take another sip of your coffee and know that you and you alone have the ability to manifest the day and the life that you want.

Namaste.
