Hey there.
Thanks for joining me today for this guided meditation to help you radically accept yourself and increase your healing and self-compassion.
Find a quiet,
Comfortable space where you can sit down or lie down without distractions.
Take a moment to settle into your position.
Allowing your body to find a place of ease.
Gently close your eyes and take a slow,
Deep breath in through your nose,
Feeling your lungs expand.
As you exhale through your mouth.
Let go of any tension in your body.
Now take two more deep breaths,
Each time inhaling a sense of calm.
And exhaling any stress or tightness.
With each breath,
Let your body soften.
Feel your shoulders relax,
Your jaw unclench,
And your muscles begin to loosen.
Allow your hands to rest comfortably in your lap or by your sides.
This is your time to cultivate self-compassion and acceptance.
There is nowhere else you need to be and nothing else you need to do right now.
Now,
Bring your awareness back to your breath.
Notice the coolness of the air as it enters your nose and the warmth as it leaves.
Feel your chest and abdomen gently rise and fall with each breath.
Allow your breath to flow naturally without trying to control it.
Now begin a slow,
Gentle scan of your body,
Starting at the crown of your head.
Notice any areas of tension or discomfort.
And as you exhale,
Imagine that you are sending your breath to those areas,
Allowing them to relax.
Move your awareness down to your forehead,
Your eyes,
Your cheeks,
And your jaw.
With each breath,
Soften these areas,
Releasing any tightness.
Continue down to your neck and shoulders.
These are,
Of course,
Areas where tension often builds.
With your next exhale,
Let your shoulders drop,
Feeling the weight of the world lift off of them.
Move your attention to your arms,
Elbows,
Hands,
And fingers.
Notice any sensations,
Warmth,
Tingling,
Or tension.
As you breathe,
Allow your arms and hands to soften and relax.
Shift your focus to your chest and your abdomen.
Feel the gentle rise and fall with each breath.
Let go of any tightness or discomfort here.
Continue down to your hips,
Thighs,
Knees,
And legs,
Noticing any sensations.
Breathe into any areas of tension.
And as you exhale,
Allow them to relax completely.
And now finally,
Bring your attention to your feet and toes,
Letting them soften as release.
As you complete this body scan section of our meditation,
Feel your entire body resting in a state of ease and relaxation.
You are fully present here in this moment exactly as you are.
Now.
Bring to mind a situation.
Where you have been critical of yourself.
It might be something small or something that still weighs heavily on you.
Notice how this self-criticism feels in your body.
Maybe a tightness in your chest or a sinking feeling in your stomach.
There's no need to change it.
Just observe it with gentle awareness.
As you focus on this feeling,
Imagine a soft,
Warm light forming in the center of your chest.
This light represents self-compassion,
Kindness,
And radical acceptance.
With each breath,
See this light begin to grow,
Expanding outward.
It moves from your chest to your shoulders,
Down your arms,
And through your entire body.
Let this warm light soothe and soften any areas of discomfort.
As you breathe,
Say silently to yourself,
I accept myself as I am.
I accept myself as I am.
Feel the warmth of the light enveloping you.
Filling you with love and care.
This light reminds you that you are worthy of compassion.
Just as you would show compassion to a loved one.
Imagine that this light is like a comforting embrace surrounding you in peace and acceptance.
With each breath,
Let go of any self-criticism or harsh judgment.
Allow the light to dissolve those feelings,
Replacing them with kindness.
And as this light grows brighter.
Feel a sense of relief.
And release wash over you.
You are whole and enough,
Exactly as you are.
Now shift your focus to the connection between your mind and your body.
Feel the light of self-compassion spreading to your thoughts.
Clearing away any negative or self-critical thinking.
Imagine this light wrapping around your mind like the soft,
Soft blanket comforting and protecting you.
As you breathe in,
Allow this light to fill your mind with thoughts of peace and acceptance.
And as you exhale,
Release any thoughts of judgment or negativity.
With each breath.
Feel your mind becoming calmer.
More open.
And more loving towards yourself.
You are practicing radical acceptance.
Embracing all parts of yourself without resistance.
The imperfections,
The doubts,
The strengths,
And the joys.
They all belong.
There is no need to change anything in this moment.
Simply allow yourself to be with compassion and understanding.
Breathe into this feeling of acceptance,
Knowing that you are enough,
Just as you are.
Gently bring your awareness back to your surroundings.
Feel the surface beneath you,
The weight of your body.
The rhythm of your breath.
Wiggle your fingers and toes,
Slowly reawakening your body.
There's no rush.
Move at your own pace.
And when you feel ready,
Take a deep breath in.
And as you exhale,
Slowly open your eyes.
Take a moment to notice how you feel,
Perhaps a little lighter,
More at peace,
More accepting of yourself.
Carry the sense of radical acceptance and self-compassion with you into the rest of your day,
Knowing that you can return to this practice whenever you need to connect with your inner kindness.
Thank you so much for joining me in this guided meditation.
Bye for now.
