Musical Metta

This is a choral setting of the sanskrit phrase "lokah samastah sukino bavantu", translated here as "may all beings be free and at peace", combined with lyrics I wrote based on the the loving-kindness meditation practice.

The parts sing, in sequence:
May I find peace in myself in this moment, may I find peace in this day;
May my loved ones find peace in this moment, may my family find joy and peace;
May those who challenge me find peace in this moment, may my challengers see and find peace.

I hope you find it a useful addition to your practice, and derive similar joy from it as I experienced writing and recording it. All the voices you hear are my own, without alteration.

The theme sung in the bass part was originally written by Curtis Schweizer.

This is my favorite mantra. Beautiful and unique rendition of Lokah Sama Sta Suki No Bhavantu. I probably butchered the spelling, but it is what I have always believed as far back as I remember - may all beings be happy and free. My eternal hope is that someday the world may find peace.
