Through personal storytelling, honest reflection, and tender guidance, Jessica Amos shares her path from religious trauma and leaving the church to finding herself and creating a new belief system rooted in love. This course isn’t about replacing one belief system with another — it’s about reclaiming yourself, honoring your story, and discovering that the God you long for might be closer than you ever imagined. Whether you’re newly questioning or years into your healing, you’re not alone. There’s something beautiful waiting on the other side. Join Jessica for these five days of storytelling, heartfelt reflection, and daily invitations to explore what connection with God means to you. Meet your Teacher

Jessica Amos is a Mindfulness Teacher, Life Coach, and the founder of Stay with Yourself: The Practice of Being Who You Are, Where You Are. Having spent most of her life struggling with severe anxiety, Jessica came to meditation as a last-ditch effort to find deep inner peace and happiness, and it changed her life for the better forever. Through the power of acceptance and non-judgment, Jessica’s teachings are heartfelt and conversational. Her teachings and meditations are off the cuff, fueled by her desire for you to feel like you are connecting intimately with a safe and trustworthy friend. She hopes you feel deeply supported and valued through her teachings and meditations, as well as encouraged to trust yourself to heal and grow in accordance with your own inner guidance. Jessica is passionate about creating an open-hearted learning environment accessible to everyone. She believes meditation and mindfulness help you embrace yourself with compassion and grace, as well as encourage you to rewrite your personal narrative through deep emotional and psychological healing so you can live a life of peace, clarity, and joy. Lesson 1

Growing Up In Church

Many of us were raised in rigid religious environments where fear and shame were disguised as holiness. In this opening session, Jessica shares the raw and tender truth of growing up in a home where religion replaced addiction—and where love was conditional, control was spiritualized, and fear of hell loomed large. This lesson sets the stage for recognizing the roots of religious trauma and offers a gentle invitation to start naming and honoring your own story.

Leaving The Church

Leaving religion can feel both liberating and terrifying. In this session, Jessica shares the moment she chose to break the belief-cycle that wounded her—and how that choice catalyzed her journey toward something new. You’ll explore the grief, relief, and complexity of walking away from a belief system that once defined you, and the courage it takes to face the unknown.

Losing Yourself, Finding Yourself

What happens after you leave? In this vulnerable and validating session, Jessica unpacks the “lost years”—those unmoored seasons where you’re no longer who you were, but not yet sure who you are. This is the time of rebuilding, of recovering lost parts of yourself, and of learning to trust your knowing after a lifetime of being taught to distrust your inner voice.

A New Land

Once we’ve grieved, questioned, and explored—we begin to rebuild. This session is about choosing: What do you want to believe? What actually resonates with your soul? Jessica speaks to the power of creating a belief system rooted in love, not fear—and how liberating it is to realize we get to choose what feels true.

Finding God

This final lesson is the full-circle moment. Jessica reflects on what it means to rediscover God—not as a punishing authority figure, but as a presence of love, awe, and inner knowing. Whether you call it God, Spirit, the Universe, or Divine Beloved, this is an invitation to step into a relationship with the sacred that feels real, nourishing, and yours.
