Find a quiet place where you can sit or lie down comfortably.
Take a moment to adjust,
Ensuring you feel supported.
I invite you to close down your eyes if it feels safe to do so,
Or to lower your gaze at a fixed point in front of you.
Take a slow,
Deep inhale through your nose.
Hold for a brief moment,
Then exhale softly.
Repeat this three times,
Allowing each breath to bring you deeper into stillness.
Bring your awareness to your body.
The weight of yourself being held by the chair,
The floor,
The earth beneath you or something else.
Feel this gentle support,
Knowing that you are safe to surrender into this moment.
And as you turn inward,
Allow any external distractions to fade.
There is nothing to do,
Nothing to fix,
Just a space to be,
To listen,
To receive.
Bring your awareness to the centre of your chest.
See,
Hear,
Feel or imagine a light glowing there.
Notice its quality.
Does it flicker,
Glow,
Spark or take another form?
We then re-inhale and exhale.
Your light expands effortlessly outwards,
Filling every cell,
Every bone,
Every part of you.
Your breath,
Your light,
Filling your entire body.
Allow yourself to bathe in its warmth and radiance.
Notice you are in front of a door.
Notice the colour,
Size and shape of the door and walk towards it.
Knocking on the door,
Signalling your intention to enter a sacred writing space and meet your writer archetype.
And as the door gently opens,
You step forward and find yourself in a vast,
Sacred writing space.
A library filled with ancient books,
A wild landscape of unwritten stories,
A quiet candlelit desk waiting for you or something else.
Take a look around.
This space holds the essence of your writer self.
A sanctuary where your words are free,
Where creativity flows freely and effortlessly.
Walk around and take it all in.
Notice the details,
Perhaps shelves stacked with ancient scrolls,
Ink-stained desks where words have been born,
Wild,
Unbound pages fluttering in the air like whispers of untold stories or something else.
Feel the energy of this space.
This is where your writer self resides.
Allow yourself to fully arrive,
Knowing you are meant to be here.
In this space,
Your writer archetype emerges.
They may take a human form,
An energetic presence or even appear as a symbol.
Observe them.
How do they carry themselves?
What energy do they exude?
And what emotions arise within you?
As they draw closer,
They speak or perhaps they communicate through a knowing within you.
You ask your writer archetype these four questions and allow the answers to rise,
Not forcing but simply receiving.
And the first question is,
Who am I when I write from my soul?
And the second question is,
What words or stories long to move through me?
And the third question is,
What fears or doubts am I ready to release?
And the last question is,
How can I more fully embody the writer I am meant to be?
Breathe in through the nose.
Exhale through the mouth.
Your archetype reaches out,
Offering you something,
An object,
A word,
A feeling or even a vision of yourself fully expressed as a writer.
As you accept it,
Notice how it feels within you.
You and your writer archetype connect,
Perhaps through touch,
A gentle embrace or simply meeting each other's gazes.
As this happens,
You feel their energy merging with yours,
Their wisdom becoming part of you.
You will know when the merging is complete,
A sensation,
A vibration,
A knowing or something else.
As you emerge,
A deep knowing awakens within you.
You are not separate from your writer archetype.
You are one.
Their confidence,
Creativity and wisdom are now woven into your being.
Feel this integration in your body.
Notice how your posture shifts.
Do you stand taller?
More assured?
Shoulders back or something else?
How does it feel to carry the essence of your writer self within you?
And what new sensations arise?
Warmth?
Expansion?
A sense of quiet certainty or something else?
You are now the writer you were always meant to be.
There is no more waiting,
No more searching.
The words that long to be written are already within you.
Take a breath and let this truth settle.
When you step back through the door,
You do so as your fully embodied writer self.
Ready,
Open and committed to the creative journey ahead.
You are now in your space in this lifetime,
Hearing my voice.
I invite you to place your hands over your heart space and say to yourself out loud or within your mind,
I write with the voice of my soul,
Deeply connected and fully expressed.
Take a deep breath in through the nose.
Release out through the mouth with a sigh.
Inviting your hands to rest wherever they feel comfortable.
Wiggling the fingers and toes and allowing the body to move or stretch if it needs.
Keeping the essence of your writer archetype alive within you.
And when you're ready,
And only when you're ready,
Opening your eyes and grab a pen and paper or type in on your device.
Allowing any lingering messages,
Insights or sensations to flow onto the page.
